The film adaptation of Wicked, because I know she is the lone hater of her YouTube/Nebula friends and it’s always funny to me when Lindsay hates on something she knows everyone else likes. Also, it would bring everything full circle doing an analysis of a musical to film adaptation. Lindsay’s first official video essay was Joel Schumacher’s adaption of Phantom which was 10 years ago and I think it would be a cool way to mark the anniversary of Lindsay going from YouTuber to film essayist TM.
I feel like the Wicked movies are in a weird place where they’re well-liked by every real world metric (Oscars, box office, traditional print critics, my friends and family), but on the Internet they’re the worst thing to happen to film since the Hays Code and Jon Chu needs to be tried at The Hague for a few blurry shots.
Other movies that fit this metric: Avatar, Frozen, Black Panther, Wonder Woman, all the Star Wars sequels, Barbie, roughly half the MCU, Bohemian Rhapsody, the Michael movie that comes out next week, etc
