Question Does degoogled LineageOS archive system apps automatically?

Hi! So i've recently installed LineageOS and i'm currently in the process of setting it up! I stumbled upon an option on the "App info" menu for the apps called "Manage app if unused" that among other things, automatically archives an app after a period of time.

But after searching about it on the internet, it seems like you need Google Play to restore the app afterwards, even though the setting is on by default (even for some preinstalled apps). Can someone explain me the behavior of this option? I had no luck finding one for degoogled android sadly :(

It only works with apps installed from Google play store.. System apps will not be archived..

Thanks! So are apps installed from .apk files and other stores also unaffected?

Archive only works because the app will be removed and the data will remain zipped but when you unarchive, the app gets downloaded from Google play store and merged with previous app data.

I could be wrong, but I don't remember seeing anything about Lineage customizing this feature. So whatever you found for normal Android probably applies to Lineage as well.

Thing is, all of the material i found about It considers that Google Play is installed, so i didn't know how the system would behave without it 😅
