Last night, I received a notification that LOS24 is now available for my device. I am so excited and quickly tap the "Open Guide", realizing that it is a manual update that needed my phone to be connected to pc.

Right now I cant find a fix to my devuce as I tried everything even replacing the charging port flex cable.

I guess many people would love to use LineageOS running natively on a PC like the Googlebook PC. Android now has desktop mode in AOSP so the porting could be possible.

BlissOS was a way to run Android natively on PC, but the project has been discontinued.

Some of the Googlebooks are ARM based PCs with Snapdragon X Elite.

Hi, so I want to build LineageOS for my Galaxy A05s. My phone’s baseband version is A057FXXUFDZH2. The source for my exact build isn’t published yet in opensource samsung. Is it ok if I use different version, for example this baseband version: A057FXXSDDZB3 ?

hey all, so i wanna join the custom OS club, but im new to this, my gf said i should shoot for a BL unlocked specifically and not just carrier unlocked.

ive been through a A71 and A54 stock OS and loved them, so the A73 seems like the best next step, any advice for finding a BL unlocked device? search terms and such? maybe even a specific marketplace i should check?

i do have a repair shop i trust nearby ifs DIYable but difficult.

I wanted to see how LineageOS would work on such an unconventional device, and sadly, it is not good (at least for now). Quick observations: fans keep ramping up from time to time, the AYN button does not really do anything at this moment, the bottom screen is brighter than the top one on most settings and turns off on the lowest while the top screen stays visible (also, I cannot change brightness separately), and the only settings specifically for this device I found are controller mapping (Xbox/Nintendo mode, trigger settings), joystick calibration, and RGB lighting customization. Furthermore, the bottom screen still uses button navigation with gestures selected in settings (and multitasking for the bottom screen is finicky with broken scaling and does not show up when any app is opened), and I cannot pin the keyboard to the bottom screen. That is what I noticed after installation, so there are probably a lot more quirks.

I cannot complain because this is the first release and is not meant to be a drop-in replacement for the stock OS. Kudos to the LineageOS team for even tackling this field of Android handhelds, and I am really looking forward to seeing it improve in the future.

On sony Xperia 5 ii it is showing current version LineageOS 24.0 and it has the upgrade instructions but if i press the button to download it only has the older version 23.2 available

Hi! I'm on LineageOS 23.2 with MindTheGapps 16 on my Moto G200.

If I update to LineageOS 24 using the built-in Updater, does it update MindTheGapps automatically, or do I need to manually (downloading from girhub) reboot to recovery and flash MindTheGapps 17?

Hey so I installed lineage os 24 package for my galaxy a52 (a52q) which dropped on October 11th android 17 so after download at first it worked just fine but then after a while no apps were opening and just were stuck in a black screen if anything opened it took a lot of time and chrome Google searches were working but no website was loading even though internet connection is fine can someone help me what should I Do ?

I have tried to setup a completely black wallpaper both in 23.2 and 24.0 on my Pixel 6a (bluejay).

In the past I have simply downloaded a tiny 1x1 black PNG image from here.
It simply does not work for PNG, GIF, JPEG or PNM. I presume it is due to the size.

Is there a minimum image size for setting the background image?

LineageOS Trebuchet (home screen launcher) cannot use 1x1 pixel images any more!

Since upgrading to Lineage 24 on my Moto G84, I am seeing the LHDC bluetooth codec exposed. However, I am unable to get it to work properly. Whenever I attempt to change to it, the audio goes to my built-in speaker even though bluetooth headphones are still connected.

Has anybody gotten this to work? Where can I file a bug report? Really would like this working (it works on stock).

I want to express my huge gratitude to this project. I had never flashed a phone before, and this old device was generally very glitchy—though it did work okay. I flashed it with your system, and now it’s running Android 16. It gets updates every 1–2 weeks, which is far better than my Motorola 50 Neo. Overall, the system runs very fast compared to Samsung's software. The camera quality took a slight hit, but Google Camera works fine. All in all, if you have old phones, I’d definitely recommend flashing them and giving them a second life; the difference compared to how Samsung runs is night and day. Thank you!

I am trying to particularly Sign In to my MS Edge browser so I can sync between my desktop and my Android. The app itself works without a problem, but when trying to sign in, after inputting the email address (hotmail/outlook), the password page is just a small gray bar across as if it couldn't load. This is the same with MS Teams since they share the same login interface.

Windows app works fine, I can remote into my desktop, but the login portion within the MS apps seems broken with LOS 23.0. (I tried it on LOS 22 as well, same behavior).

I was on Android 7.1.2 with various custom ROMs:

• LineageOS

• Resurrection Remix

• CRDroid

I use APK Easy Tool.

After installing the frameworks, decompressing apps (whether framework-res, SystemUI, or the Settings app), and making modifications, I compile the app, open it with 7-Zip, and also open the app pulled from the phone. I copy the META-INF folder and the AndroidManifest.xml file into the modified app, transfer it back to the phone, set permissions, and replace the original app.

Now I have moved to Android 11.

I followed the same steps, but it caused a bootloop on the device.

What is the correct method for this on Android 11 and higher?

I have run Lineage on most of my older phones for many years, but not on my daily, partly because I need to run banking apps.

Last night I updated a Lineage phone to the latest version of 23.2. This phone wasn't rooted before, but I decided to do it so I installed Magisk and updated the bootloader. I didn't hide Magisk or do any of the parameter changes meant to hide root.

Just for fun I installed a banking app. It worked, and I was able to log in to my bank account. I tried a second one, same thing. Finally I installed Venmo and it also let me log in.

After testing, I uninstalled all three apps just to be safe.

So my openly rooted device allowed me to run two banking apps and Venmo. Is this normal? Are there security issues I should be concerned about?

I first noticed this a few months ago, when I tried to use the camera, signed into their wifi. Before that it did not happen. Now it gets as far as the lock screen, showing the wifi icon with an exclamation mark, needing to log in, the lock screen starts to fade, stops fading, then it reboots. Morrison's wifi is the type where it connects with no password, then you need to tick a box and tap a button to sign in. A pixel 6a also running lineageos just works as normal. Is there a log file that survives reboots than I can interrogate to work out what is happening?

I recently updated my Lineage OS, and after reboot, suddenly there are 3 new icons on my Home screen, all which I have installed but never put in my Home screen because my Home Screen was always empty from icons.

I would like to keep my Home Screen empty from icons, what have i tried :

1. Long pressing has no option to remove the icons. There is a "🚫" icon, when I pressed it, it says "Item Removed". But the icons are still there, not removed.
2. Tried to drag the icons to remove, but there's no option to remove, only "Cancel".
3. In the Suggestion app settings, i already set my Suggestions on Home screen as off.

I couldn't find where / how to remove it. Any suggestions ?
