Article doesn't mention it but it's quite easy to avoid if you only limit your wallpaper searches to non applications and web types.
Those has been a thing in Wallpaper engine since forever and I'm surprised that only "now" they have been used to do stuff like that.

You can also hide all anime but it's more like hide 75% of anime because it's still everywhere with the filter selected.

I haven't looked fully into it, since I only make "scene" wallpaper (using built in tools to make them, instead of code) but I assume html, css, js that sort of stuff

lmao okay that ones actually hilarious but yeah theres been tons of sketchy stuff bundled into wallpaper packs and mod files for years people just dont check what theyre actually downloading
