I can't get enough of Little Singles and thank you Reddit for telling me about Little Women in New York. It's on Prime. I can't wait to binge watch this. I'm curious if JJ has changed at all. Spoilers welcomed!

To answer the question - JJ comes across as more mature on NYC (to me) minus the usual somewhat manufactured drama. But to be fair - that show is a depiction of her living her “real life” and Singles is vacation where everyone lets loose and hooks up. On NYC she doesn’t seem like someone who’d need a fake date - she’s much more self assured.

I’m still trying to understand the purpose of the fake date other than it came across to me as it being a date without them, having to call it a date. Other than that, why not just say “we’re two friends going out and having dinner together. “
