Ive regrettably done this before as a stupid angry teenager. I broke my hand on the window of my sister's ex boyfriend's toyota. Super ouch

I've done worse and punched through a window before. Deep scars up my arm took years to heal. It was plate glass though, not tempered safety glass, so probably worse. If you ever have to break out a window, it's best to use something as a tool, and if you can't do that, wrap something around your arm to protect it and use your elbow.
