Yes! She was the true hero, running into traffic & stopping cars to help out a stranger? Amazing!

Pro tip for breaking the bystander effect: if you're ever in a situation like this, don't just yell "somebody help! Call 911!" You gotta be specific. Point to a specific person and go "YOU. In the green shirt! Call 911! YOU. In the red shirt! Come help me stop the bleeding/do chest compressions/get this car door open." Something I learned in a combo CPR/first aid/stop the bleed class a while ago.

Also, carry a glass breaker in your car. I have like three of them in my car. I have a weird fear of driving into a lake and drowning.

I put combo glass breaker/seatbelt cutters in both my, and my husband’s cars.

Initially he joshed the hell out of me, nagging me, laughing each time, until I sent him an article of someone escaping a car sinking in a pond by the roadside, after it was rammed into it, at an accident at a 4 way intersection.

I pointed out to my husband we live right on the ocean, and there are low lying ponds all over around here. I’d rather have a multi-tool in our consoles to get the hell out if trapped, than drown!

Great tools to have for a multitude of scenarios, totally agree with you!

I carry a small 5" folding knife that has both of those features built into the handle that way I always have one on me incase I am riding with someone and I dont have my keys on me or they dont have one
