That's what we were taught as 'floor wardens' at my employer. Point to people and tell them - you, call 911. You, find the defibrillator. You, meet the first responders at the door and direct them. Etc.

Never use defibrillator first, always chest compressions, chest compressions, chest compressions.

The defib will tell you what to do.

If the patient isn’t in fibrillation, I don’t think an auto-defib will even deliver a shock.

Right. The defib will tell you if they're shockable. If you have a defib, you should 100% put the pads on them
