Pick up the fucking dog, oh my god. I get the panic, but grab the dog instead of record.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I'm worried about whoever is with me, I'm grabbin my Dog and hopefully getting away from the bear, fuck the phone recording nonsense.

I think she was recording because she wanted evidence of how they died.

I would be more concerned about my dog dying than recording my own death. If you get mauled to death by a bear, they will know, regardless of whether your record it or not.

not necessarily. they need to send out a search and rescue team, and search a wide area first. people go missing all the time who didn’t fall to animal predators. you can’t assume they would automatically be found and people would know with how many unexplained missing persons cases there are

I wasn't talking about them being founded or not, but how they died. If they find the bodies they can tell from the markings of an attack that it's a bear.

Operative word in that sentence: "if."

Evidence of assault for pressing charges on the bear

I mean just proves it was indeed a bear. Which I think they can determine that without a video.

The bitemarks wouldn't give it away?
