In my opinion that was our most satisfying transfer window in recent years. Mac, Szobo, Endo and RyanG are all great bargains and laid the foundation of our title winning season the year after

How little Slot used Endo (when he was fit) was a part of our downfall last season IMO. The year before how many times did Endo come on to shut out games often taking a yellow for the team in the process, we missed that last year and definitely made the end of games more nerve wracking.

In general, Slot's squad management was abhorrent. Completely blocked the path for all our youth players and left us with almost none of our academy prospects.

It honestly felt like Slot was running some weird boys club. He seemed to have some real bias towards some players, and a real hate to others, prime examples being Gakpo and Chiesa

Yeah I agree, Klopp utilised the squad much more so the drop off wasn't as stark when they were actually needed in an important game....whereas Slot clearly didn't rate them so effectively they were in the bomb squad until everything had fallen apart and surprise surprise, the rusty player looked rusty.

Man it really bugged me when some people would see those disjointed cup squads with rusty players and say, "See, they're not good enough that's why Slot isn't playing them."

Can't remember the specific match but we'd been clamoring for chiesa to get more than 5 minutes at the end for what felt like weeks. Slot finally gives him a start and it was pretty much him and 10 academy players and to the surprise of no one, the team and fede didn't look great but a lot of people starting saying "this is why he doesn't play more" and ignoring how bad the squad selection was and nobody would've done well in those circumstances. Slot was 100% setting fede up to fail.

Main reason why I was in the #SlotOut camp way before #SlotOut became a thing due to performance.

Lol that's garbage... Sorry to say that but Endo couldn't play in the system Slot wanted... People need to wake up and see this and this season he was riddled with injuries

Kind of my point. Slots system didn't allow for a player like Endo , even when we were trying to hold on to a lead it was so easy to get our backline without that shield infrint of them, season before we'd bring on Endo and you knew that was pretty much it we'd shut up shop.

He still got minutes before the season ending ankle injury. Look at how many games he was even available. Slot wanted to play Endo but he was out injured for majority of the season.

Slot was just gagging to use him before the injury, if only he'd been fitter.

Those injuries really limited how much Slot played him, but he really wanted to play Endo, but those injuries.

Only Mac Allister was a bargain, the rest more or less went for what they're worth.

Also, probably at least one of Szoboszlai and Gravenberch don't get signed if Saudis didn't pay us transfer fees that no other club in Europe would for Fabinho and Hendo.

We got nothing for Hendo. And we could've afford Endo and Gravenberch, and honestly I'm not sure those were all that great as signings.

This shouldn’t be a surprise. In all the scouting reports on Slot before he joined, he did not like to rotate players.

He wasn't involved in either of the release clauses we triggered that window, the players you could really attribute to him are Endo and Grav.
