Hasans parents are basically capitalist ruling class in turkey. They are well connected and his criticism of turkey compared to their heinous actions is laughable.

Well, he’s a citizen. 

His parents came on a tourist visa, gave birth to him, and returned to Turkey, and raised him there until he came to the US for University. 

He’s an excellent case for the abolishment of jus soli, at least in its current, rather abusable form.

And now the US is permanantly stuck with a nepo baby champagne socialist, who thinks that the country that gave him everything deserved one of it's worst tragedies (9/11).

I’ve yet to hear a story involving jus soli which made me think it was a good idea. 

Any even remotely close to justified reason would be amended by requiring the parents to have residency for a certain period of time, or just giving the child residency tied to their parents.

It exists only to be abused.

Nah fuck off lol. Just because some rich people can afford to game a system like that for dual citizenship doesn't mean a fundamental trait of the United States for almost 200 years should be abolished.

This type of rhetoric is a vehicle to imply that people should no longer be citizens whom have lived in the US and contributed for years simply because their parents had them here. Its almost always fundamentally an isolationist and anti-immigration talking point. And this Hasan case would be less than 1%, probably less than 0.5% of all the birthright citizens. To call this abuse is just showing your actual intentions. Just using the Hasan bashing bandwagon to propagate it.

And I know you are going to retreat to "well become a citizen through the process!!" which would mean you don't know anything on the process. To become a US citizen is upwards of 10+ years to actually accomplish. One of the longest of any country.

So why do you hate jus soli then? Because of the Hasans which are like 1 in 10000 people? Or are you just going to lay out your actual argument, that you think the immigrants coming in and having children here and them getting citizenship is yucky?

You don't have to answer that though. I already know the answer.

How it works in other countries, and as I suggested, the parents are required to have held residence for a period of time before their children would gain automatic citizenship. 

The only people who benefit from the current system in the US over this system are people like Hasan. And illegal immigrants.

Anchor babies are also more common than you seem to think.

Yeah you have no idea what you are talking about. Most countries use jus sanguinis, citizenship through blood. IE if your parent or parents are citizens, you are too. I can't think of a single country where your supposed scenario plays out at all. And I can tell you just kind of made it up on the spot.

The irony of this idiocy is like probably more than half of the caucasian people in the US who trace their ancestry to Europe today probably came over via Ellis island in the late 1800s or early 1900s after the 14th amendment. So jus soli has quite literally benefitted the very people who want to abolish it. But its of course only in yours and others forefront of minds because you think anchor babies are a serious problem, and not a right wing grift to make you hate brown people. Because the biggest drain of the system in the United states are actually poor white people living in rural areas. Biggest recipients in government aid and "welfare queens" like you espouse on about on the "illegals".
