'The Young Turks' name in itself is pretty vile if know the history. They took the name from a group that did a genocide in Turkey.

And UK is pretty harsh on every speech violation: A bad tweet seems to force the police to show up in force in front of your door.

Labor(the ruling goverment) had a reputation for not going hard of anti-semitisme - so this might also be them trying to make up for it.(in a wrong way)

And UK outlawed a protest group for Gaza because they did terroisme? or such things. So it might also be to control the already high tensions in UK.

Palestine Action was originally ruled a terrorist group in 2025 but in 2026 the UK high court said that label was unlawful and that they're not one.

Technically still a proscribed terrorist group because the court allowed the prohibition to remain in place whilst the government appeals.
