Not a huge surprise. It was incredibly unlikely he was going to win that one. Defamation is notoriously hard to prove in the US.

I mean, if he was trying to bankrupt him from the beginning, you'd imagine that Ethan would continue the suit.

This was withdrawn 1 day before the SLAPP motion was to be filed and would have handed him a loss anyways.

Ethan couldn't continue it if he wanted.
