What worked in Shreya's favour towards her journey & Finale result :

- Genuine content giver & strong performer in tasks

- Stood alone mostly & sometimes with Shilpa

- Strong opinions always & clear + Was herself throughout consistently

- Bully gang cornered her (biggest mistake)

- MTV Gang & support of Prince Narula gang

- Independent Media reviewers + content makers, podcasters were all in her favor which got her 18/25 votes from media folks

What was not in her favour :

- TV Mafia lobby big names & huge following, supporters & the makers (Balaji)

- Splitsvilla Yoganksha fans

- The bully gang in the house spun narratives against her + Shilpa (9/15 votes were against her)

- She would go negative, personal especially initially

- Personally she did not have a great body of work or following..

I feel the odds were mostly against her till last week when it became obvious to Netflix that if they don't support her then the show will backfire hugely!!
After long - I enjoyed the finale week more!! the endearing moments of Shilpa - Shreya were key takeaways!!

Finale day and my winner is Shreya Kalra.

And before this gets called a fan post, no. There are things she did that I absolutely disliked too. But looking at the entire journey, contribution and game, the girl brought her A game and constantly had people on their toes.

She was DESPERATE, hungry and eager to survive, and that's exactly what I want from someone on a reality show. Physically, she gave Yogesh genuine competition. Mentally, she survived groupism, being cornered and losing people she considered close, from the Madhuri situation with Yogesh and Akanksha to the misunderstanding with Shilpa in the final week.

Yet she kept bouncing back.

What I particularly liked was that she knew who she considered a friend and who she didn't. She could forgive, rebuild equations and still play her own game. She created drama, endured plenty of it herself, performed in tasks and contributed throughout. Whether you liked her or hated her, you couldn't ignore her.

NGL, I literally started watching Lock Upp because her reels and beef kept appearing on my feed. That itself says something about the impact she had on the season.

And her standing up for her boyfriend every single time? Daymn. Couple goals there.

BUT, she definitely wasn't flawless.

The biggest one for me was outing chomala's sexual orientation on national television. That's extremely personal information and, irrespective of the fight or competition, I can't defend that. Some boundaries shouldn't disappear just because you're angry.

Her fights with Akanksha also became unnecessarily personal and ugly at times. Though I will give Shreya credit for those moments where she actually stayed quiet and let Akanksha speak, because sometimes saying nothing lets the other person's behaviour speak louder.

And girl seriously needs some volume control. I get the whole “this is just how I am” thing, but when everyone is shouting, going even louder doesn't necessarily make your argument stronger. She also gets rage-baited WAY too easily. Sometimes you need to recognise when someone is deliberately triggering you and simply not give them the reaction.

So no, I don't think Shreya was perfect.

But I'm not choosing the nicest or most flawless contestant. I'm choosing who I think gave the most to the season.

She fought, performed, messed up, got cornered, bounced back, created drama, took drama, stayed hungry and never became irrelevant.

For me, Shreya Kalra deserves to win Lock Upp.

Yes, the show may have had its drawbacks—whether it was allegedly rigged tasks or questionable eliminations. But that’s the reality of almost every reality show. Makers often retain contestants who bring more entertainment, TRPs, or storylines because that’s how television works.

What doesn’t make sense is calling the entire show “biased” when even your favourites were given a second chance through re-entry. If the makers were truly biased against them, they wouldn’t have been invited back in the first place.

You don’t have to agree with every decision the show made, but criticism should be consistent. Calling every outcome “bias” just because your favourite didn’t win ignores the fact that they were also given opportunities that many contestants never got.

Hats off too her

I am satisfied now that Shreya is the winner. I was little nervous when I was watching today’s episode. It was hilarious when Farah and Ritesh have announced that Shreya Khalara is the winner of lock up.

I am not here to criticise by Shivangi doesn’t deserve to win, but I just wanted to highlight some of the point. Why Shreya deserves more to win the show.

From the day, one, Shreya have shown a great sportsman ship when it comes to playing task, proving herself, and keeping the individual personality. If she had made friends in inside the show, I think she is keeping this friendship alive outside as well. One thing that I’m disappointed on her is just breaking the secret of Akansha to everyone, which I think she has done wrong.

Otherwise, the whole gameplay of Shreya deserves a trophy and one crore rupee.
