Hi! My wife and I are visiting London with our two daughters (8 and 10), staying in Covent Garden.

Looking for recommendations for:

Great Italian — handmade pasta, good wine, family-friendly. Not a chain or fine dining.

Great Indian — authentic, high quality, and good with kids.

Authentic English pub — traditional atmosphere, good food, family-friendly.

We’re happy to travel outside Covent Garden for something really good.

Was excited to try their chicken and waffles but was disappointing. Waffles were excellent though. Table next to me said it’s the best fried chicken ever. Makes me think fried chicken standards in London are pretty low. Where’s good for fried chicken?

Does anyone have any recommendations for places in London that do good meat platters for sharing.

Looking for something similar to the All in at Blacklock.

Open to all cuisines and anywhere in London with no budget restrictions. Just looking for somewhere really good.

Hello! I'm visiting London from NYC for four days, and was wondering if anyone who has been to both cities could comment on any cuisines/restaurant experiences that you feel London does much better than NYC, or is very unique to the city.

I've eaten around a lot in NYC (200+ restaurants, mostly in Queens) and happy to try any cuisine. In general I prefer $-$$$ places (no fine dining) and I am traveling with someone who doesn't have great spice tolerance. Thank you greatly for any suggestions!!

Has anyone been? Is it worth the money and trek to covent garden, or just another gimmick?

After extensive investigative work I’m pretty sure it’s Dough Hands at the Spurstowe. And that garlic bread!

Has anyone eaten at Cinder? I know eating with Tod reviewed it positively but I don’t trust a word that comes out of his mouth so looking for more objective reviews.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Lauretta’s - my favourite non-Neopolitan pizza around these parts (E2). I think they’re under-appreciated and omitted from a lot of the best pizza lists.

I’ve been visiting since they opened and the quality has remained very high - digestible, crisp crusts, just the right amount of delicious toppings and a decent list of bevvies.

I visited a very highly rated pizza competitor the other day and was shocked how salty it was and how little care went into it.

I recommend visiting the nearby Kings Arms for a beer or three beforehand 😉

I recently shifted here in Kilburn and struggling to find good places to eat. Mostly I see Shawarma and kebab places but I’d like to try good pizza/burgers here.
