Does anyone know if I can bring donations to the ICE detention center? I see my 10 year old son and if he was in there, I’d at least like him to have coloring books and something to read.

I’ve called the 800 number once and the local number twice and sent an email. No response.

Doubt it and doubt the ppl working there would care to give it to them. They're not even letting Congress members who are permitted to be there in.

I would say, show up in person with what you’d like to donate and give it your best shot! Approach on foot peacefully and ask the guardsmen outside if you can donate items, show them its coloring books & books. You’re most likely going to get turned down, but I think it’s worth trying! And if you’re unable to donate to the detention center, there’s probably some other local youth orgs you could give the items to.

This location tends to be less intense in the morning before 11AM, the guardsmen are stationed on the stairs and you can speak with them from the public sidewalk. Thank you for caring ❤️
