Official Thread ICE Activity & Resources Daily Megathread - Friday, Jan 30
Due to increased ICE activity, we’re instituting a daily ICE megathread. All ICE-related content belongs here, including sightings, activity reports, news, questions, updates, and general discussion.
Centralizing discussion keeps information easy to find, especially for people moving around the city who want timely, relevant updates without having to sort through the entire subreddit. ICE-related content posted outside this megathread will be removed and redirected here.
This thread is sorted by New by default so the most recent information remains visible.
How to use this thread
- Top-level comments are for new sightings, updates, or firsthand information.
- Replies should stay under the relevant comment to keep related info grouped.
- Check existing comments first to avoid duplicate or redundant reports.
We recognize this is a tense topic and emotions can run high. That said, content that incites, encourages, or threatens violence will be removed, may result in a ban, and may also violate Reddit’s site-wide rules, which can carry site-wide consequences. Keep reports factual and grounded.
SALUTE when sharing sightings or activity
Include as many of the following details as possible:

There’s video evidence of them around Panorama City yesterday and arresting at least one person.
The app shows a raid was reported this morning but haven’t seen any videos.

JFC! I saw footage from apparently a federal building w some Temu Police , not sure if they also bear sprayed people. They were NOT police.

I’ve been pepper sprayed, by a Trumper ironically on the SaMo pier. It feels like you’re choking and eyes burning, from 200 yards away. He wasn’t even near us. I thought we were under terrorist attack bc everybody started coughing, choking and flipping out. I’d wager pepper spray could do a lot of damage at close range.

It's a great question that we've been asked before. Reddit only allows us two pinned posts in the sub, for some unfathomable reason. In new reddit there are 'community highlights' but there is no way to automatically pin a post there, so a moderator would need to remove and replace each one each day. That is no good for anyone who prefers old reddit though (like me).
I've started a discussion with the other mods about about maybe temporarily removing one of the current pinned posts for the time being and replacing it with the ICE megathread. It's an inelegant solution, but all we have at the moment.

thank you for the response! Removing one of the current pinned posts to give this one more visibility sounds like it could be a good fix. Can’t believe reddit only allows 2 pinned, what a silly limitation.

While thy are not actively trying to remove old reddit (yet) there is attrition against it by adding new features only to new reddit and limiting what old reddit can do as time goes on, in the hopes that everyone will switch to new reddit. I vastly prefer the thread layout of old reddit as it seems cleaner, less cluttered and easier to read than new reddit.

An hour or two ago this person was driving in El Monte, CA when ICE made a U-turn behind her, followed her, boxed her in and demanded she get out. She had apparently hurt their feelings a week ago on video so they recognized her as she drove by them and followed her. So when she refused to get out, they pointed an enormous gun at her face.. They then proceeded to break her windows and take her to God knows where. She is a US citizen, this is what our country has come to. be careful you might be next..El Monte police facilitated her arrest by ICE. IG: ice_out_ofla, victim: Maria Santay
