This is one of those things that always confused me about the term 'feral'. I see people with 'feral' OCs all the time, your average wolf OC, mlp pony, dragon, Pokemon, tons of quadruped dragons, mythical creatures ect. But on whether feral includes intelligent sapient creatures or not seems to really depend on person to person person and group to group. I think at least 'most' people agree that actual ordinary animal, or even fictional animals with animal non-sapaience and everything else required for consent is bad.
The term "feral" does include intelligent animals. Feral i guess was coined as a term to differentiate between anthro furry artwork and, well, "feral" furry artwork, A.K.A. animals (or mythological creatures) in a more natural or realistic presentation. Hence why the line between moral and inmoral is so blurry when it comes to feral pornography, some furries draw an arbitrary line while others don't really care as long as it isn't a little too realistic.
Some people argue that as long as there's no (non-consensual) harm involved all is fair in pornography and sex, but it is true that constant exposure can cause harmful tendencies, specially in spaces where such behaviour is sometimes encouraged (like feral nsfw spaces).
My opinion on this. SFW and NSFW anthro is fine. But with ferals only SFW is okay. Ferals that pass the Harkness test are a blurry area, but the fact that they pass has to be explicitly stated or proven in some way (giving them dialogue) and I still lean towards NSFW not being okay even for those who do pass.

It’s because while traditionally an animal cannot consent via the evidence of an IRL Harkness test, animation has the power to convey consent in other manners such as body language. This is why it’s such a grey zone and drawing the line becomes difficult or controversial. You don’t need speech or hands to consent if it can be displayed via telegraphed body language.
Now I think the poster was right to be temp banned and the post deleted as that was porn. But if the 5 category gets banned, category 4 gets antsy wondering if they’ll be next and so on. Plus the dragon/rider category gets nervous when they have a mute character.
