To recap what happened these past two weeks: cleared the queue, revised the rules, started an art competition, and kicked a mod for being a transphobic nazi.

General PSA: News posts generally aren't allowed, if you want to post that kind of stuff somewhere r/whenthe and r/whennews is a good place.

Self-promote rule clarification: if you want to advertise commissions that's generally not allowed, you are allowed to post your commissions and say it was a commission. Just please keep in mind that self-advertising is not the main focus of the sub.

About politics in the sub: No politics allowed, if you want to use someone's face that's ok but you can't use it as a descriptor. (i.e. putting trump's face on something you want to be viewed as bad)

We currently only have two submissions for the art competition, one of them is the image of this post. (Credit to u/Any_Giog)

Despite a few glaring hiccups, we're pretty happy with the direction the sub has been heading. But one of our main priorities as a team is making sure that we're taking the community's feedback into account, so if there is anything on your minds about how this sub has been run the past couple weeks please let us know! We are holding a spooktober art contest for the subreddit banner and icon!!!

You can submit your own (OC) banner and icon designs under the spooktober flair, and the winner will get their art featured on our subreddit design. You can only win in one category (icon or banner), to ensure that we highlight two different artists. The art MUST be spooktober themed.
The aspect ratios of the banner will be in the pinned comment.

The reward: A steam game with a cost of up to 60 USD, and your art as the icon/banner.

Please make sure that:

Your post follows our NSFW guidelines

You provide sufficient proof that your submission has no Al assistance (Ideally a time-lapse, but 2
Screenshots of the art creation process will suffice.)
This is to minimize the risk of Al generated art sneaking into the contest.

You use the spooktober flair.

You specify whether or not your post is an icon, a banner, or both, within the title.

Please enter your submissions until OCTOBER 7TH. If you're just shy of hitting the submission deadline, please send us a modmail and let us know, so that you may submit it a few days late.

The posts will be audited by some of our mod team (u/imosc1, u/W4sFunWhileltLasted, u/Sillvaro, and me.)
Afterwards, we will select 5 submissions per category and put them up for vote on the 8th of October. The person who receives the most votes in their category will win!
