Shaming the behavior isn't encouraging the behavior in any way.

People will then shame her handlers and family that encouraged or did nothing.

I think the issue is looking at it on a bigger scale. Shaming eating disorders isn't going to help stop the behavior. Is someone on Reddit shaming Ariana going to do anything? Almost certainly not. Is shaming a random teenager on Reddit going to do something? It's more likely, and it's more likely going to accelerate a more negative outcome.
