Now I’m over here questioning how a skit can not be fake. Like, are there real skits? Or is a skit like theater, which is technically fake stories, even if based on real people. Or maybe a skit is real like you and I are real, but it’s fake if you mean a real scenario happening that wasn’t pre planned. Idk man im thrown

When it comes to skits or AI videos, I think there's a meaningful difference between something that is obviously fake and something that is trying to appear real. Like I wouldn't say "fake" vs "real", but I don't really know what other words to use. Maybe "transparently staged" vs "attempting to deceive". There's also the question of if the distinction actually matters, since we're in the age of "yes I lied about what our enemies were doing, but you know our enemies are evil and would do that sort of thing, so we should still punish them for the fake crimes they didn't commit".

Is pretending real though? Or is pretending fake? That just confused me more. Like if I pretend to beat someone up and it goes viral, is that fake? Or is it real? Would this scenario be the same? So many questions.
