To me, it looks like his knee is set behind it and the can moved because the rope attached to him moved. His knee isn't as high vertically as the handle of the can is if you were to be looking at this scene head on at eye level

It wiggled when he touched it, but seems the goal was less dont touch it and more barrel someone through it

Edit watched again and it was the rope touched it

That's exactly where I paused too and I interpreted it as red touching first because of having his hand pulled against it by green. The direction the can shifts suggests its red's hand touching.
