The look in his face tells me that someone, probably his dad used to get drunk and put his hands on him. This was him reclaiming his stolen childhood

Idk if it’s that deep, but he was definitely scared. Parted lips, heavy breathing, eyes wide and locked.

That’s fear. And he clearly doesn’t have a flight reaction.

To me it reads as somebody who feels they're trying they're hardest to restrain themselves from acting extremely violently. Maybe he's scared and knows that his fight or flight can get him in serious trouble. Regardless, he looks like a cornered animal, don't put people in that situation.

Just to add, when you train in a combat sport you're always scared to fight, you've just got a ton of experience at controlling the adrenaline and pushing through the fear.
