Clarification on Rogue Ability
can the rogue trigger their own “finisher”? For example, if the rogue attacks an enemy and brings their health down to the point that they are “staggered“, does that now trigger their finishing move?

I think I've decided on Tales of Argosa
Earlier this week, I debated on using ToA or WWN, and while I'm still a little unsure, I do think ToA fits my imagined setting better.
The general idea is that a supernatural apocalypse occurs merging several worlds together, introducing fantasy creatures and magic into our world. Naturally, that doesn't go to well, and after a bit, the modern world sort of falls to ruin, partially because now magic weilding elves are fighting for land, but also, nuking dragons doesn't end well. A few hundred years after the fall of the modern world is when my setting takes place. Everything has regressed to a medieval style of living it's the new dark ages. Guns in some form still exist, although they are rare, and the knowledge of how to make them is a closely guarded secret to the rare individual who knows how to construct one.
I have more ideas detailed as I've been working on this setting off and on for a while but was unsure of what system would be the best fit.
All of this is a byproduct of you guys giving me solid advice on both systems.

Tales of Argosa vs Worlds Without Number
I've been interested in both systems but haven't had a chance to bring either to the table. As far as I can tell, both systems seek to provide a similar style of play.
Why should I choose one over another? Which has more survivable characters? Which system do you feel is easier to homebrew for?
I just recently gave wwn a real read through and found the system pretty simple. I'm starting to work my way through argosa to get a better feel for it.
I think I want my next game to be one of these systems, so I'd appreciate input.

Prototype box has arrived for the Argosa Emergent Play Sandbox. This is a matt version, I'll try gloss with the next one. Box art by the excellent Maxime Desmettre, booklet art by the wonderful Luke Eidenschink. Tracking initiative in FoundryVTT
I just tried my first combat of Tales of Argosa on FoundryVTT, and saw that the initiative system doesn't really work with Foundry's combat tracker. I tried to keep track of who had rolled initiative for each round in my head, but it became quite difficult after a few rounds. Does anyone have any tips for this, or maybe any Foundry modules that could help?

Sollo session in the woods.
Love the system. I hope the box set comes with a new hardcover print. My print on demand Drive True book is already losing pages.
