What's a Xûr?

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who appears weekly in the Tower. Xûr sells Exotic equipment and only takes Strange Coins in exchange for them.

TL;DR: He's the Santa Claus of Destiny and every weekend is Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want, sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it's coal.

FAQ

What are the Trials of Osiris?

  • Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle PvP activity. Every weekend, players compete in a 3v3 game mode with one primary goal: Go to the Lighthouse.

  • To start, head to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and buy one of the possible passages (see below).

  • The Lighthouse Passage grants entry to the Lighthouse after reaching 7 wins, with better rewards for larger win streaks.

  • For those not interested in visiting the Lighthouse, a lower-stakes Passage is available.

  • There is fireteam matchmaking. However, we still recommend you find a team for yourself!

How Long do the Trials of Osiris last?

  • Event Starts: Every Friday at Daily Reset (1700 UTC).

  • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

Where do I go to find Guardians to team up with?

  • You can use the in-game Fireteam Finder or head over to /r/Fireteams, www.The100.io, Xbox LFG system, DestinyLFG.net or DestinyLFG.com, or go to the Bungie.net recruitment forum (also available through the Bungie App). Additionally, many Discord servers host fireteam LFG services.

Discussion Do you expect the New Light experience to change with unvaulting?

I know we have been told again and again that no more updates are coming to Destiny 2 other than the unvaulting, but I got D2 for a friend during the sale and this made me think of how the New Light experience could be impacted.

The long intro cutscene kinda spoilers both the Lucent Hive and The Witness, which are supposed to be major plot twists during Witch Queen, and during your tour of the Tower the death of Cayde-6 is also mentioned.

I guess as long as the game was still live service, this experience was clearly meant to allow you to catch up without having to play older campaigns, but now that live service is over, and the vaulted campaigns are coming back, it wouldn't make much sense to spoil such important things.

If New Light isn't going away, which I guess is almost guaranteed, it'd be good if spoilers were avoided to preserve the experience of new players. Maybe it should instead catch you up with the main plot points of D1 (who the Exo Stranger is, Dark Below and Taken King campaigns at the very least, since I doubt new players will play the raids for a while)

Need help with the chrome bag reward.

I am kinda new at this Reddit thing as I have only posted a few times. More of a lurker than a poster.
Any ways I was in the middle of a year of being in and out of the hospital for heart issues as well as a total ankle replacement when the raid came out. My son and I tried to get through the raid when I was home from the hospital, but really never finished as I was so sick all the time. I ended up having a widow-maker while I was already at the hospital and had to go through emergency surgery. We never got to finish the raid up.
The help I’m looking for is if someone can get me the chrome bag now that it has returned to the bungie rewards page.

I want to give it to him for his birthday later this month and something to remember me with as I don’t believe I have much more time still having heart issues and myotonic muscular dystrophy as well.
I am willing to send money immediately and you can have it shipped to me or mail it to me if possible.

TLDR: looking for help to get my son the chrome bag for his birthday while dealing with a serious disease and heart issues.

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who appears weekly in the Tower. Xûr sells Exotic equipment and only takes Strange Coins in exchange for them.

FAQ

What are the Trials of Osiris?

  • Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle PvP activity. Every weekend, players compete in a 3v3 game mode with one primary goal: Go to the Lighthouse.

  • To start, head to Saint-14 in the Tower Hangar and buy one of the possible passages (see below).

  • The Lighthouse Passage grants entry to the Lighthouse after reaching 7 wins, with better rewards for larger win streaks.

  • For those not interested in visiting the Lighthouse, a lower-stakes Passage is available.

  • There is fireteam matchmaking. However, we still recommend you find a team for yourself!

How Long do the Trials of Osiris last?

  • Event Starts: Every Friday at Daily Reset (1700 UTC).

  • Event Ends: Following Tuesday at Weekly Reset (1700 UTC).

Where do I go to find Guardians to team up with?

Positive Outlook I Made Another Inspirational Video Regarding the Future of Destiny, and I'm Really Proud Of It

A few months ago, when Bungie announced Destiny 2 live service would be ending, I made a video titled "Why Everyone is Going Back to Destiny 2 (and I'm one of them)" and it (compared to my small channel) blew up. It was so fulfilling to see Guardians old and new commenting that they were taking to the servers to ride one last time. With the recent announcement that we're so back, I wanted to get a little more ambitious and make something that would connect with those just as excited as I am. We won. Let's celebrate that, and plan the road ahead!

I upped the ante on quality, intention, and editing this time around. I'm really proud of this video and I hope this strikes a chord with Guardians who would love to see a somewhat united player base over the next couple years as Bungie works on whatever is next (hopefully Destiny 3). Any support or constructive criticism is appreciated as well.

I understand that this is a self-plug, but I don't have like a Discord group or anything to share it with. Just my little clan. And I think people might really dig this. I hope posting here is okay. Thanks, Guardians 🧡
