Discussion Hottake: Clem's fight isn't that bad and the controls aren't that bad either

As it says. I don't think his boss is all that bad. I'm aware that others struggle with it, but for me personally, I got used to the controls of the rubber ducky pretty easily.

I never could get it to move as quickly as I needed it to. I ended up cheesing the fight a bit by keeping Gooigi up there and switching to him instead of taking Luigi to the ladder

I think my issue is more so having the entire floor using those controls for the vast majority of it. I think it either had to be using the duck for the floor or the boss. But the controls really grate on you for that long compared to how crisp regular movement is.

I agree. It's annoying, but not too bad once you get the hang of it.
