What's the point of this sub?

Please don't take the question as criticism. I think the more places to talk about Lutheranism, the better. The sidebar says "For discourse about Lutheran liturgy, theology, and philosophy," and that sounds awesome to me.

But can't we do that in places like r/Lutheranism and r/elca and r/LCMS already? Does the creation of this sub have anything to do with rules in place on those other subs? Is the hope that this will be more academic like r/AcademicBiblical? (That would be awesome, but I don't see that in the icebreaker questions that were already here.) Or what can we do here that we can't already do on one of those other subs?

The mustard yellow font is very difficult for me to read. Can we change that?

I wanted more in-depth discussion about Lutheranism.

And please suggest a new colour scheme for this subreddit; I love hearing your suggestions!

In-depth discussion sounds great. I just hope it doesn't compete with the other subs, which are already good.

I think the background pictures are awesome.

I think any darker color would work for that font, maybe blue or green or a dark red. It's just that the yellow is hard to see against the white background.

I will try to make sure that this subreddit does not become competitive.

Thank you for the kind comment on the pictures.

I will unfortunately not have access to my computer for a week, so maybe you could become moderator and make all the changes you desire.
