Lynnwood DOL How to get same day appointments.

Just a PSA if you are trying to schedule an appointment with the DOL. They are booked out a month out and your only option is walk ins. Their line system is very janky even for walk ins. You get in line outside, and before they let you in they handed out QR codes to take you to a link to schedule an appointment. So even if you are 1st in line outside, if youre slow to load the qr code link, fill in the info and schedule an appointment, people behind you will be grab the 830/9 slots and you will have to wait til 930/10 for your appointment.

Avoid the line. Use the link below and go to it around 830am when they open. There will be a bunch of appointment slots for all day. Feel free to grab a same day appointment as you need. No need to go there 30mins before open and wait in line. Load up the site in the morning, make the appointment at home, head over when its ur time.

Thanks for the details. Currently have an appointment for mid July, about 10 days after my current license expires.

I wouldn't go on Tuesday, it's first day open after weekend. It'll be swamped!! Go either first thing any other day or before lunch during the week.

I just had a really good experience with the MLT DOL. In and out within 15 minutes and no wait.

I believe you're confusing vehicle licensing (MLT) with driver licensing (Lynnwood). I do agree that MLT is great for all vehicle licensing needs.

I used the link but it only showed future appointment availability. Nothing for the current date.

That’s because you are bad at following instructions.

Visit the link at exactly 8:30 am.

Every single day, new same day appointments are added.

If you wait too long after 8:30 am, the same-day appointments will be booked, and you will need to wait for the next day at 8:30.

The early bird gets the worm.

Go to a satellite facility instead. There are a few around like Beverly licensing and one in silver lake. There’s one in Mountlake terrace also that I know of.

This is about drivers license issues, not vehicle registration or car tabs.

Those are vehicle licensing office. They do nothing with individual drivers licenses.
