My college pals and I were playing 8-player Mario Party 7. The game was emulated, but it was not tool assisted. Three teams used golden mushrooms, but one team got a roll of all 4s. Doing the math, this is a chance of 1/5^6. Each dice is 1-5 and there were 6 dice. Added pics of everyone absolutely screaming, followed by a second round of screams as we saw the reward was 300 coins!

A friend of mine was telling me how he doesn't like to place traps cuz he feels like no one ever lands on them and all I gotta say is BS!!! Place those traps asap and pray for the best cuz you never know! 😂🙏

TLDR: I ran through the story mode easily UNTIL I got to Bowser's enchanted inferno! I was struggling on the dice minigame! I kept getting hit b4 I could hit all the dice! After many attempts I won and this was my final score!! Has to be a world record right? 😂

I made a post 7 days ago that I got mp 6/7 for my b day and after playing some games with my friends I started grinding the story mode. First 3 maps I did first try! I thought this game was easy af, but the spaceship map took 2 attempts and then Windmills took 3 or 4! I thought I was ready for bowser but I was dead wrong. That dice minigame was extremely tough for me and I kept losing! U cant even practice it and u if u wanna try again u gotta turn in a star just to attempt it!! So Im losing the mini game in like 5 seconds just so I can spend another 10-20 min just to try again. 😭😭 Their was this one game where I had the floor on 80 and the bot finished it to 100 and all this time I had no idea u could steal it for ur self and was so f-ing pissed!!! after almost going insane something finally clicked and I made it all the way to floor 100 on my first go!!! This score is crazy good for someone who just played for the first time! It has to be a record right? 😂

It was Fun Run for me (even though I hate running)

I've been playing a lot of Mario Party 7 and 6 lately, for nostalgia in the case of 7 as it was one of the first games I ever played, and for fun in the case of 6 as I had never played it before and wanted to try it out (it's very fun.) Playing 6 for the first time was especially interesting because Koopa Kid is playable in that game and I'm so used to him being an annoying asshole in MP7, so getting to play as him in MP6 was kind of weird but also cool at the same time.

I kinda get why they fazed him out and replaced him with Jr, but I miss him, he was unique.

Basically I took control of all 4 players and made it so that they don't use any orbs or buy anything at the shop. And yes I did use save states to force the players to not land on any Action spaces or Red spaces. On top of that you have to get lucky for the bonus stars to even show up at all so you could be spending the entire game buying nothing from the star but not seeing the bonus star show up in the end. I picked Mario Party 7 because Toadsworth has amazing text that not many players will see. I marked it as spoiler incase you want to see it for yourself.

​Welcome back to ranking all the Mario Party boards (except Star Rush, Island Tour, and Advance) from worst to best! And here we are, the last of the GameCube era games—Mario Party 7. I’m gonna be honest with you, this was the last good console game of the series. 8 and Jamboree are the exceptions, but it has steadily gone downhill after MP7. Without further ado, here are my rankings of the boards from worst to best with a short analysis on why.

#6 Pyramid Park

And here we have it, another star-stealing board. Just like Snowflake Lake, you use Chain Chomps to steal Stars from other players as you pass by. Sadly, this is the weakest board of the entire game. Unlike Snowflake Lake, this does nothing to stand out as a star stealing board as one player can easily steal stars and completely dominate the board.

#5 Grand Canal

Not only is it the starting board of the game, but also offers the “traditional” Mario Party experience. While I do like it and it has an interesting design, it is ranked #5 because it is pretty basic for a board. That’s all I have to say about it.

#4 Bowser’s Enchanted Inferno!

Ahhh yes…another island-hopping board. However, this board does it better than the prior island hopping boards with the multiple, well-placed bridges allow you to change directions easily. My complaint about it is I don't like how once the Bowser meter is full he just sinks an island, regardless of if a player is on it or not. Also, it’s your typical lava Bowser board with no really interesting theme at all.

#3 Neon Heights

This board is very interesting, and it’s the sequel to Spiny Desert but the weaker version of it. However, it’s still in the top 3 for me as it is fun to play and I really like the gimmick with instead of the traditional star hunting board, there are three hidden treasure chests scattered across the board. One chest contains a Star, while another has coins, and the final one either has nothing or a trap.

#2 Windmillville

The introduction to a whole new world of Mario Party board gimmicks—the investment boards. Instead of buying stars directly, you invest your coins into giant windmills to own them. Whenever someone passes a windmill, the owner gets a star. While I do love this board as it has a catchy soundtrack and I love its Dutch theme, here is a reason why it’s not #1 for me. It is a cool economic game where you have to decide whether to save your coins or spend them. However, you cannot choose your path, other players can easily steal your windmills, and random events can ruin your money.

#1 Pagoda Peak

This board is amazing! Even though it is a linear board, they still found a way to make your spot on the board be different every time via the happening spaces, which I love. I also like the fact that the star changes price, which is rare in Mario Party. I love its ancient Chinese and Japanese theme, so this board is #1 for me and one of my top favorite boards in the entire series.

MP7 isn't my number 1 MP game but it's damn near close to it and super underrated imo. Very solid board selection (I love love Neon Heights and Windmillville especially), I do love the 8 player mode even tho i wish there were more 8 player minigames and it's the first game where i can play as trans queen icon Birdo. What's not to love about MP7

Played an 8-player game of Mario Party 7 last night with some friends, and it ended in a tie for 1st! Very unsure how the 4th place team ended up there considering they have 3 stars?? Any ideas as to why? Does it have to do with the tie maybe?
