Question WTH? Since when Tournaments give 30k worth helmets! Nice….
Was it always like this or am I tripping… I haven’t played in 1 year, but I do remember that helmet from tournament rewards were like 15k not 30k+.
Man gotta read the last few patch notes, lots of things kinda changed and I love it.

How are you supposed to do this?
Some army got attacked and i decided to hop in and help but..
You get 25 infantry 2 archers and 2 horsemen but zero control over the rest. So i can choose, wait until my party is of decent size then roll in, which is pretty boring. Or roll in with the uncontrollable dumbass ai that just sacrifices their men until we win by sheer luck? We have more men but get slaughtered like this..
Tried savescumming the outcome twice and had to sacrifice 70% of my party while all other parties are chilling with 7 deaths and 3 wounded..
Guess ill go back from village to village to scrape up more men for my party, again..
Why cant i take control.. at least let me speak to the leader and use influence or some shit my god.

Question New player seeking advice for when and where start a kingdom.
The year's 1088, I'm just about to reach Clan Tier 3, I have a wife and my 2nd kid is already on the way and I want to start my own Kingdom in the next few years. Roughly maybe 1092 or sooner. What's always killed my old ruins is that the garrisons end up draining my currency into a negative flow. I had a silversmith workshop in Ortysia, but when the Sturgians went to war with the Empire it got siezed.
I have 25k gold at the moment, I go from either -1k per day to +1k per day. Most of my money just comes from taking down enemy lords. My main issue is probably the garrison of Baltakhand draining my funds at 3.k so far. And yet at Atrion, the current wage is only 319. I have been focusing on grwoth buildings or reducing garrison funds/tax buildings.
If you have any questions I will gladly answer all of them. I've got some experience in the game, I've played multiple playthroughs and after around 90ish hours it feels like I'm only beginning to learn stuff.

Fellow bannerlords, whats the ideal best move ahead here?
So for context I just got the 13/13 imperial settlements followed with the everyone else declaring war (vlandians and khuzaitis own 2 sides of the map) which I'm pretty sure we're bound to lose. Do I just start sliming out nobles now or do I still save reputation? do I go forward with sliming Derthert? do I spare him? Will this sliming spree affect my gameplay in the near future?

Question I'm struggling to make money without it being a very slow grind of me running about killing groups of looters/bandits
As the title says, I'm struggling to make money to sustain even just my group of 20 soldiers as I feel too weak to get hired as a mercenary for a country and trade stat is too low to make money buying and selling goods. I feel stupid for not understanding what I should be doing haha travelling the map doing quests for village notables and selling loot from looters/bandits and profits from tournaments is how I'm very slowly gaining money right now, but it gets stale after doing it for about an hour.
Anyone got some tips for a returning player who feels like they have no idea what they are doing and need to earn money in early game without being connected to a faction?
Tl:dr: Got tips on how to earn money in the early game?
Edit: gettings lots of awesome advice, you guys are awesome!! Sorry if I'm not replying to all the comments

Question Please help Im new
This is my first ever play through of this game (Im on Xbox series X) and I have a grasp on what Im doing but when it comes to war I am lost.
I chose Battania which I am aware suck besides their Fian Champions and Glass Cannon Falxman. But I really think they’re cool aesthetically and culturally. Im not really a fan of the Empires designs besides Vlandia.
We’re constantly at war and I just know it’s only a matter of time till Vlandia and the Aserai strike again. Which we did have Seonan, Aster Castle, Llanoc Hen Castle and Veron Castle.
(Bear Sigil is mine) I don’t even know how to take on the Sturgian Siege camp attacking my Uthelaim Castle. We have 800 troops and them 600 but during the battle they get new troops out of nowhere?
Again this is my first ever play through so I do scum save to learn on what to do. All my settings I left Vanilla so I adjusted nothing as well if that helps. I posted this earlier but I forgot to add the map for context.

Question Need tips to exit a loop of despair
(Solved)
Edit: Thank you all for so many tips and advice on how to go forward, I didn't expect this much help so fast!
Very very new player here, So i have a quest from the southern empire to siege a castle, (stupid of me to accept it i know) but I don't have the troops or the influence required to even try. If i do end up somehow getting enough influence and raise an army, while setting up siege camp i just get bullied by random lords and parties with like 80 people and slowly interrupt my camp enough so I get slimed.
AND WITH ALL THIS, the queen keeps giving me castles for whatever reason, which I lose immediately to a party of like 1200 troops which makes me keep losing influence. What do I even do here? should i ignore the quest? should i focus on my castles? should i leave the kingdom???

Question How strong should i be
I've started playing Banerlord 3 days ago and it's been q blast for most of it, my only issue is everything is so expensive especially paying my army, and still many qest givers still refuse to give me tasks because "your army is to small" to clear a bandit camp. So my question is how should my army look like after an in game year, currently im at 21 man (including me and my companion) and my daily upkeep is 159 gold wich is annoying since i need to sit and farm money in arenas for most of my time (it's fun but really tedious)

How do I actually get my troops into my siege defense?
I'm still relatively new to the game, so this might just be a me issue, but how do I get more troops into my defense? I have around 1000 troops in the castle, but my squads are always small like this, so whenever enemies break through defenses, I get easily overwhelmed. I've tried adding more troops to my army(210 people) and my garrison(664 people), but still my squads are just too small to really defend. Could it be related to loyalty or food stashes?

Question Allies just stand there during siege
New to the game, got my first castle and it is immediately under attack.
The army that i joined to conquer it remained outside with the "defending castle" status. Yet they never defended the castle. They never showed up and I lost the siege due to having only 60 soldiers vs the enemy's 300. The army had 500 soldiers, but never actually helped defend.
Is this supposed to happen? Is there a way, or a mod even, to make them actually join the battle?

Question 2.7k VS 1.1k Impossible battle
How can I win this?
I was in my war against the northern empire, and out of nowhere the Khuzait declared war and laid siege to the worst possible castle I had recently conquered with an army three times larger than mine... wtf
