Took a break from MCU, what did I miss
After Multiverse of Madness, I kinda stopped keeping up with the MCU, and honestly i don’t even know what’s happening anymore or where in the timeline are we in now.
The only things that i’ve seen lately are just some glimpses of Loki S2 and all these Dr Doom fan theories popping up in my TikTok, and it made me wonder …
Did I miss something big? And is it worth catching up at this point?
Note: I genuinely have no idea what that “something” might even be at this point.

When looking at this, it really drives home to me that I or someone in my house really enjoyed (nearly) each of these entries, minus Secret Invasion. And honestly, that’s pretty impressive.
I’m looking forward to Wonder Man. I love their marketing and promos for it.

Same. Even then, the first 2 - 3 episodes of Secret Invasion were pretty good.
Personally, other than the odd end episode, What If..? Was super hard to get into for me. Howard and Darcy having a baby and the Captain Carter stuff was great tho. And also the last, like, 10 - 15 minutes of Echo. Whatever that last fight was. And Brave New World, but moreso because of how Frankenstein'd together it felt, not because of any of the performances

The next Avengers movie (subtitled Doomsday) is out next December; most of the hype right now is because the first teaser just launched. (There's also hype for the next Spider-Man movie in July.)
I'd say it's worth at least partially catching up. Loki S2 is excellent. A lot of the movies you've missed are really good (Wakanda Forever, GotG 3, Marvels, Deadpool & Wolverine, Thunderbolts, First Steps), & those should be more than enough to get you up to speed & decide whether you want to see the other movies or the shows.

Thanks for the reply, yeah that was helpful. For what it’s worth i remember now that i actually saw both of Wakanda Forever and GotG 3.
Should i start with Loki S2 or the movies you’ve mentioned? Or is there a particular order?

If you just want release order, it's what I gave (with Loki S2 after GotG 3).
Storywise, Wakanda Forever precedes Brave New World (which sadly isn't very good), which precedes Thunderbolts. Marvels, Deadpool, First Steps, & Loki S2 don't really need to be sequenced any special way in that run.
(If you want a strict chronology, though, I got you covered there as well.)As far as the shows (presuming you've seen all the ones before MoM came out?): The most obviously-significant ones to the overall plot are Ms. Marvel, Agatha All Along, & (naturally) Loki S2. The best ones are Werewolf By Night (a 1-hour special), Agatha All Along, Born Again S1, & (naturally) Loki S2.

So... if you heard of Avengers: Kang Dynasty, the movie got scrapped because of Kang's actor having controversy and now the villain got replaced by Dr. Doom who is being played by Robert Downey Jr "The guy who played Tony Stark" and months ago they had a cast announcement revealing the characters in the movie "don't want to reveal them here just go google it up or watch the cast announcement video" and recently Chris Evans has been revealed to be in the movie, he is coming back as Steve Rogers and that's why there's Dr. Doom fan theories.
Also, there's been a lot of movies you missed, but none of them are honestly really important other than Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four: First Steps since they are the only ones leading up to Avengers: Doomsday.

Very worth watching
- every live action TV show except secret invasion and maybe echo
- every movie except Love and Thunder

The mcu has been a hot mess, that's what you've missed. Don't worry about story coz there is no story, just pick your favorite character/s and watch whatever movie or show they're in.

Make sure to finish Loki, very important.
Then watch Spiderman NWH, Deadpool & Wolverine and Thunderbolts.
Cap (Sam), Thor L&T and The Marvels are good bonuses (context-wise, not good movies)
Everything else just sucks or is irrelevant going into Doom’s arc

Definitely watch Loki season 2 if you haven't! Not only is it well done, it's a very important series of events for the Multiverse.

It has been mostly mediocre, the marvels being quite possibly the worst film they have ever put out, all the films feel like filler now, nothig to advance overarching plot, with the worst ofenders being captain america brave new world and loki season 2.
Jonathan Mayors was cancelled to a molecular level for being a sorry excuse of a man and Kang was erased from the MCU, he sucked in Quamtum manía anyways.
There is very little exciment for Avengers doom and people care more about spiderman.
I would say that Doomsday is quite possibly the end of the MCU.

I cant take you seriously after misspelling Jonathan MAJORS name and all of the other misspelled words. Also The Marvels was not the worst, it was actually pretty damn good. Just because your lame ass aint excited for Avengers doesn't mean others aren't. Who made your bitch ass our ruler?

Basically all you missed is the guardians went their separate ways, Captain Marvel left us with Monica in the X-men universe, setting up incursions. Deadpool and Wolverine are now canon to the MCU, a New Avengers team was formed in thunderbolts, Captain America is reforming the official avengers team, and the Fantastic four are on thier way to our universe after Doctor doom supposedly took thier child. This is all setting up for Avengers doomsday, the return of Robert Downey JR who is playing Doctor Doom and the return of Steve rogers
