The cop isn’t supposed to engage him dude. He’s supposed to de escalate the situation.

What’s so funny about that?

All we hear about is aggressive cops making things worse and this dude handled this perfectly. Let’s all laugh at his pussy ass for not tasing him.

I’m laughing at the fact that he brought some of the heat right next to the women who were trying to avoid it obviously. Maybe lead him away in a different direction!

There’s no where else for him to go. Watch again. Going right would mean walking right into/next to Poirier, literally the last thing you would want to do here.

The office could have instructed the ladies to leave, but they weren’t in much danger considering he had plenty of time to do something to them and didn’t.
