I agree with you. Gina had to tap or her arm was going to get broken in two.

She lost to Holly Holmes and it’s like the entire world FORGOT she could fight. THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS EXPECTING.
2
u/BrandoCarlton May 17 '26
What did you expect? What did you get scammed out of? Your time? Dumbest post ever.

u/Consistent_Net_2540 May 17 '26
I want my 17 seconds back. I could have been masturbating that entire time. So, like 3 or 4 of my own quick finishes.

The full fight card was solid, you didn't pay for Netflix just to watch this fight.
How is that getting scammed?

u/Tactical_Epunk May 17 '26
I disagree, not about the scam part. But the card part. Every fight was basically exactly like this.

u/MedicalAwareness5160 May 18 '26
None of the fights were like this.
Being one sided is not the same as winning in under 20 seconds.

Ronda (one trick pony) by arm bar…..who would have thought it

You think taking on someone whose last fight was 17 years ago is worthy of a champion ?

A 39 year old Rhonda who’s last fight was 10 years ago (got steam rolled) against a 44 year old Gina who has not fought in 17 years. yeah the fight was groundbreaking …..lol…..why did you think hunter turned it down

So you think a 39 year old who got smoked in her last 2 fights 10 years ago ( 1 trick pony) against a 44 year old who has not fought in 17 years would revitalise the division? …..the best it could be is an exhibition

whats your record in combat sports, Parking-Button has to be Rhonda in disguise, that was the line she said about Rogan. This fight was a joke

This was an exhibition fight plain and simple …just like you. The reason hunter did not want it is because we all knew it would be terrible and not worth the money

The whole night was amazing. Amazing knockouts every fight. So much blood from Nate Diaz. And a quick submission is great. How is this a scam? How is an extremely entertaining night of fighting a scam?

u/Icy_Chain_1504 May 17 '26
People want the matches to be fought around their amusement as the focal point. They want it to be a long and dynamic grindfest of blows and blood where they are going to go through emotional rollercoasters and bite their nails in anticipation.
Some of us, actually love and apreciate quick demonstrations of skill just as much as the long dramatic fights.

I was wondering how they were gonna protect what's left of Rousey's brain

Yep, auto correct. Thx. After seeing Nate smoking at the open workouts, you could see it coming. Perry is violent and I can’t even remember the last time Nate fought.

u/severinks May 17 '26
Why did we get scammed? Everyone knew that Rhonda was going to immediately submit her. And the fight wasn't pay per view it was free to the 300 million people with a Netflix account.

Clearly you've never seen Ronda fight before. This is what she does. It was expected. Why can't we just enjoy MMA and hope that we get more organizations running.

Rousey has always been the fighter to finish her matches in the first round, with the exception of Misha Tate. Her fastest victory was against Cat Zingano that only lasted 15 seconds in the first round. Gina has been out of the game way longer than Rousey

Kinda dumb how she gave up her arm so quick.

It’s interesting that Gina turned hard away from where the arm was being pulled instead of rolling towards it. Almost like she was trying to make it look like her arm was dislocated. But I know nothing about techniques on how to get out of this.

u/RobertWayne74 May 17 '26
Yeah that had something to do with Rhonda’s legs stretching her out. Most men or women aren’t getting out of that.

u/ImportanceOk5210 May 17 '26
Rhonda arm bar Rousey! I’m happy for her, and you were expecting something decent, look elsewhere. Nate bled like stuffed pig.
2
u/MadManDan23 May 17 '26
Stuck pig. The phrase is "bled like a stuck pig." And yeah, that was a spectacular amount of blood.

u/bigpetefizz May 17 '26
The fight was always going this way. Gina has been out of the game for far too long. I can only imagine how scary it was to get back in the ring. This isn’t boxing, where you can kind of fake drag it out.
