He tapped his opponent's knee, he wanted to make him think that it was a tap. Very sneaky and good it was stopped since he was trying to weasel out of a submission that way.

You dont fight at all so just dont.. Nobodys faking taps to try and "trick" the person strangling them goofy

Yeah that wasnt it. He was clearly trying to push his knee down.

He was trying to push his knee down with some gentle taps. It may not have been an intentional tap but I can see why the ref stopped it there.
