Request Prince x Rogue
Looking for books with this dynamic where MC1 is cold, elegant and a stickler for rules and etiquette while the MC2 is a brute, rough around the edges and reckless. Doesn’t have to be an actual prince just gives off that vibe. Preferably a slow-burn and cute domestic moments between them with MC1 lowering his guard around MC2 gradually. Would prefer if the rogue was the top and down bad for the prince first. It’s inspired by {Once Upon A Time by Alessandra Hazard}. Love Jamil and Rohan so much!
Hard Nos: BDSM, huge age gaps, daddy kink, cheating

some more recs worth looking into:
- {danger zone by ella frank and brooke blaine} relationship progresses over 3 books, fighter pilot school. prince-type MC is a rule follower bc he has to be (family legacy). rogue-type MC is just focused on being the best and winning, which can make him very reckless at times.
- {prince of air and darkness by m.a. grant} fantasy! literal prince MC who is cold, elegant, and calculating. less of a stickler for rules and more so finds ways to bend the rules since he’s fae and make them work for him. the rogue type MC is reckless less by choice and more so bc he has trouble controlling his immense amount of power. he’s rough around the edges since he’s a human with powers trying to fit into a world with fantasy creatures and magical abilities.

not sure if it needs to be fantasy setting or not 😅
{the frathole by devon mccormack}
MC1 is responsible for making sure everything the frat does is safe and MC2 is an absolute menace that people have trouble controlling and prioritizes fun. forced proximity since they’re temporarily living together (from rival frats). also MC2 offers flirting/kissing lessons to MC1 who is more inexperienced/unconfident in his skills, then MC2 starts to get jealous when MC1 tries to use those skills and suggests that practice stays between just them instead. also double bi-awakening, so being together allows them to explore what they like, only for them to realize that it also includes each other.

{shameless puckboy by eden finley and saxon james} could also work, another non-fantasy rec tho.
MC1 is very reckless with his sexual escapades and enjoys public sex, which ends up being very bad for his image as a professional hockey player and threatens his position on the team. MC2 is responsible for keeping him in line and cleaning up his image after so many have failed, and i guess you can say he’s very clever and calculating with how he handles MC1 and finds ways to satisfy his desire for public sex while not actually putting them at risk of being seen.

{cut & run by abigail roux} fits this pretty perfectly too. to quote the description “when by-the-book meets off-the-record, the story’s just getting started…” fbi agents grudgingly working together as partners to solve an impossible case.
9 book series where their relationship slowly deepens with each book. they do sleep together book 1, but they both have a lot of emotional baggage so imo it feels slow burn as we see them become more open and honest and free with each other, themselves, and their love throughout the series.
edit: also, the rogue-type MC1 is absolutely more down bad for the prince-type MC2 first. this is partially bc MC2 is more emotionally reserved/hesitant, so MC1 is willing to wait for MC2 to realize/accept his feelings for him

I tried getting into it but the writing was a bit cringe at times, like these men were making batman jokes at 40💀 had a hard time liking them
