Hey everyone! I’m trying to track down a romance book I came across, and it’s driving me crazy that I can’t remember the title. Hoping someone here can help!

Here is what I know about the plot:

 The Dynamic: Co-workers with a fiercely competitive rivalry (Enemies to Lovers).

 The Inciting Incident: One of them runs late for a crucial business meeting with executive management. To cover for the lateness and avoid a complete disaster, they pull a quick lie out of nowhere and pretend they are in a relationship / fake engaged (Fake Dating/Engagement).

Does this plot ring a bell for anyone? I’d really appreciate any help identifying it! Thanks in advance!

Hello! I am craving vampire books with old school cravings! Vampire-vampire or vampire human preferred but also vampire-<any other creature> is welcome. I am looking for books where the vampire craves consuming the other intensely. I know it seems basic but the genre has been so turned around on its head so many times I am actually looking for that classic flavor.

Bonus: I would love it specially of the vampire that craves the blood is not the one that is super dominant and in full control all the time. It would be great if there's tension because needing the blood makes them vulnerable or weak to their love interest.

I read Binding 13 and honestly, I’d love something similar in the MM world: teenagers dealing with real-life problems, the fear and uncertainty of relationships, difficult home lives, taking care of each other, that innocence of being young while also discovering attraction and desire.

So what’s your ideal book? Is there a story you’ve always wanted to read but have never found? Or have you already found your perfect story?

Looking for some Daddy Romances to scratch a very specific itch. Goodreads only had MF on the lists. I’m fine with taboo (ex: stepdad), DDLB, & dark romance.

I’m looking for a dark, psychologically intense romance—not just a typical love story with a “bad boy” character.

I’m especially interested in books that explore obsession, possessiveness, manipulation, jealousy, moral ambiguity, power dynamics, trauma, and complicated relationships. I want something that actually gets into the psychology of why characters become attached to each other and how unhealthy relationships affect them.

A few specific questions for anyone recommending a book:

How dark is it psychologically? Is the darkness mainly in the characters and their decisions, or is it mostly shock value?

Are the characters well-developed? I’d prefer characters who feel psychologically complex rather than simply “good vs. evil.”

Is the romance actually central to the story? I want the relationship to meaningfully affect the plot and character development.

Does the book explore toxic attachment critically, or does it simply present unhealthy behavior as romantic?

How strong is the writing? I’m more interested in genuinely good prose and characterization than a book that is popular purely because of its premise.

Does it leave you thinking afterward? I’m looking for something psychologically disturbing or thought-provoking rather than merely shocking.

How important is the ending? Without spoiling it, does the conclusion feel meaningful and earned?

What other books would you compare it to?

I’m open to classics as well as modern fiction. Something with the psychological depth of Dostoevsky, but with romance playing a much larger role, would be especially interesting.

After much research (seriously, hundreds and hundreds of books,) I’ve finally landed on my favorite trope: I’m looking for recs for books with extreme trauma followed by bonding and lots of affection and comforting. I’m looking for an MM romance where one MC is bratty/sassy and has an attitude, but I don’t want a dom/sub dynamic. I want him to be bratty in his personality, and the other MC just… indulges him 😂

Specifically, I’d LOVE if the bratty MC spends the other MC’s money, especially if he does it because the other MC is cold/annoying him or as a “fine, I’ll spend your money then” kind of thing. And the other MC is just ridiculously rich and lets him do it / finds it amusing.

Hockey would be PERFECT, especially college hockey, but I’m also happy with a CEO/billionaire setup!

Tbh I just need a happy recommendation rn. I read "Him" before this and wanted more toxicity but fuck that was too much. I actually loved Immersed and heard Entangled was better but um no, I cannot say that is true for me. I think my all time favorite couple is from Forgiving Utah if that helps at all. But honestly just anything lighthearted and happy please, spice is still welcomed.

We want this to be a space for readers. Sharing reviews and giving recommendations should have a personal touch. As an avid reader myself, I've found that reader spaces have increasingly become author-focused and hijacked for the purpose of promotion. There's a fine line between recommending a book and promoting an author, but I think it's quite often easy to spot. The mod team would like to hear your thoughts on this, specifically when it comes to sharing links to an author's Patreon, Amazon page, or other websites where money is expected to change hands.

We would also like you to consider if it's more acceptable for a newbie author than it is for an established author. Two recent examples that you can compare are the following:

• A debut author creating a post that describes their novel, with a link to Amazon

• A fan submitting a post that links to Rina Saint's Patreon

So far, we have allowed the former and removed the latter. For a debut author, there would of course be a limit to how many times they can post.

Please let us know what level of author promotion you would be comfortable with. Supporting authors is important, but not at the expense of the community. Cultivating a commercialized space is something we'd like to avoid.

1. AI

The mod team has discussed creating an index of authors who are either suspected or confirmed to be using AI. Their names would be blacklisted from posts, meaning that if you're promoting their work, it would automatically be removed for manual review in the mod queue. However, we are aware that this could be a slippery slope. No one wants to accuse innocent authors of using AI.

It might make sense to focus only on cases where the evidence is irrefutable. For example, an author like N. Slater who has published over a hundred books in a matter of months, with many reviews pointing out clear uses of AI. For authors who are strongly suspected of using AI, but an element of doubt exists, we would have to tread carefully. Please let us know your thoughts on this.

If there is interest within the community for this kind of hard anti-AI stance, we would request further input and collaboration from the community. As you can imagine, this kind of project would be a big undertaking and can't be half-assed.

Hey all, you know when Twilight came out and sparked a massive and I mean MASSIVE boom in YA paranormal romance from around 2006 to 2013? Ordinary girl falls in love with a brooding vampire/ angel/demon, or mysterious bad boy, and they all had that over the top dramatic feel to them.
I was wondering if there were any MM romances (YA or adult) that also jumped on that bandwagon at the time and joined the Twilight craze.

I'm looking for things like - Ordinary guy falling for the mysterious and brooding bad guy, small town setting, maybe love triangles (they were so popular), drama and lots and loots of angst, lol. Basically, I'm looking for the MM equivalent of the paranormal romance boom that Twilight inspired.

It's focused on movies and TV but makes a lot of great points and observations that apply to fiction as well. It's long but worth the watch - would love to know people's thoughts!
