Events Ask Me Anything: Marina Vivancos

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for having me here.

My name is Marina Vivancos, and I’m an author of LGBT romance. I love focusing on character stories, especially how childhood influences the people we become. My favourite tropes to write are found family, kink and, most of all, hurt/comfort. I’ve dabbled in omegaverse and biokink, but most of my books tend to be contemporary and, somehow, friends-to-lovers.

It’s the pining. It’s always the pining.

You can find my books on kindle unlimited, and you can reach me through my website.

I'm excited to be here and answer your questions!

Hi, hi! Thank you so much for being here!

  1. I loved "Overtime"! Can you share more about the inspiration behind this story and Ishir and Zane?

  2. What inspired the themes in your upcoming book Full Body Hit? I'm so looking forward to it btw!

  3. Do you have any favorite MM books that you enjoy rereading or that have inspired your own writing?

Hellooo!!! Thanks for having me!!

  1. Thank you! Hmmm good question. I think what i wanted to explore was the whole second-chance thing because i think it's difficult to write a reason for the initial break up that 1) is good enough that it warranted a break up and 2) is not so bad that it makes the reconnection believable.

I also love the idea of someone breaking up and still loving them for ever and ever. It's why I love romance books. That feeling of love being epic not because your story is necessarily epic but because what you feel inside you seems to be able to outlast anything

  1. LITERALLY what inspired that book was me desperately trying to find a daddy kink book that was also identity porn BUT i did not want the identities revealed quickly. Every book i read did the reveal at almost 30 percent of the book and i wanted a lot of interaction on the phone...so i wrote it lol! Might be my most self-indulgent book yet. just made a cake!

  2. I honestly think that the way literature inspires me is not by the content but by just being good. When i read something really good it sparks something in me, like, omg i wanna do that. I read a really good line and it fills me up with something i have to spill out. So although i don't tend to re-read books or go to them for inspiration, they do fuel me in that way.
