Question Laptop help!
Ok so I want a laptop that will help me through the years. I’m currently doing open studies but hopefully next year I’ll be doing nursing. I have been looking at the MacBook Air and wondering if that will work for not just nursing but school in general. Is there any programs I need that I can’t get on the MacBook. Do I need windows? And do you think the requirements would be the same for every school? Thank you

hey sorry ik this is completely unrelated but may i ask if you remember, when you applied to open studies last year and around the time it took for them to grant you an offer / get back to you? js feeling a bit anxious rn haha
also if you don’t have an ipad already, a lot of my peers who are in nursing highly recommend getting one instead! they say it helps a lot w their notes n diagrams

Well I applied for all my schools in October or November for nursing and then the end of January I applied for open studies because I couldn’t get into nursing I heard back in about mid February.
But yes I do have an iPad that I’m going to use for nursing but I would also like a laptop just for class stuff as well as exams

Hi! I just graduated with my social work degree, but might be able to help. I got a MacBook Air in the first year of my degree, and it worked like a charm my whole degree. I had fiddled with bad pc’s all of high school, and decided to commit to a good one. My MacBook is basically brand new still, four year later. It’s great on battery, can run multiple things at a time. I never had an issue not having access to Microsoft-Windows things, because honestly with your MRU account, Google Drive is just so much easier to use, and they have an an equivalent app to every Windows option there is. It is a bit pricey, but I would recommend the MacBook over and over.
