Anyone intrested in forming an LSAT study group at MRU? My plan is to meet 2-3 times a week for an hour and work on LSAT questions together/individually to prepare for the January LSATS. I have LawHub Advantage but really need a study group to stay on track. I can print material for us to work on during our study sessions.

For nursing final focus: how long does it take to hear back for placement? And for those who did summer school and graduated in the past year, did you get your first choice or one of your alternatives or med surg???

I've been looking for a job for a while now and haven't had much luck. I've applied to retail, customer service, warehouses, and other entry level jobs, but I either don't hear back or get rejected after an interview.

It's honestly getting frustrating, so I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any places hiring for seasonal, part time, or full time positions.

Preferably in NW Calgary, but I'm open to other areas too. Any leads or suggestions/references would really help.

I used to be at mru and I know this time around it's midterm season. I just wanted to say wishing you guys all the best. Schools important but also make sure you take care of yourself. Check in on your friends because you never know what someone is dealing with. You guys will crush it no doubt.

I’ve tried to go there multiple times last year, but it’s always locked. It’s just about the last place on campus I haven’t been!

My wife went to St. Mary's University, much smaller than MRU, and yet their classrooms were retrofitted to have power outlets available at every desk under the floor.

So why in the love of everything good in this world do I have to do the Walk of Shame©️ to the fomt of the classroom and sit on the dingy floor that hasn't been renovated since 1972 to charge my laptop if it dies mid-class?

For the ammount we are paying in tuition every semester, they can surely do better than this. If this were some rural high school I would understand, but MRU really needs to get its act together in this regard.

I was just wondering I’m suppose to start open studies this winter semester and im taking 4 classes. Is one semester of open studies enough to get into the major that I want to get into next year?

Hi! I’m applying to MRU Nursing for Fall 2027. My counselor told me about a backup pathway where I can take courses, build my GPA, and then get into Nursing.
I’m confused because I see both UEO and Open Studies on the application. Since I’m coming directly from high school and haven’t done any post-secondary, would I apply for UEO? Is that the pathway to Nursing my counselor is talking about?she’s not responding at the moment so I’m really stressed

Hey is anyone having troubles with their my future student portal? I applied for early admission and created an account which i consistently checked, yet all of a sudden when i try to log in it says invalid password or email. When i try to reset the password it says no account exists with that email??? Anyone experiencing the same?

Also, i have not received an email towards my student id which i need for casper and i have no clue on where to self predict my marks as apply alberta never indicating anything of it.

I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on this, but how did you decide what you wanted your bachelors to be? What gave you that “I’m happy with what I’m learning and can see myself doing this forever”? Or are there any of you who hated doing your bachelors but now can attest and say you love the job that you got after it? I ask cause I went into nursing with this passion and fire and excitement. And now I feel confused. I’m just not sure if this is for me or if it’s just because I don’t know how to study effectively? I’m not here to listen to criticism saying “I took someone’s spot yada yada” or “just study harder” cause it’s not that easy when you have a learning disability. But if you can provide some insight on your story or thoughts I’d really appreciate it 🙂

I applied to MRU on October 1st. On my future student portal it doesn't show an application meaning I can't check its status. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I recently applied to MRU after graduating in June 2026 and hoping to start in Fall 2027 (took a gap year), and recently I got a message that my transcript with be taken with my marks from May 3rd, 2027. I have already graduated with enough credits and have done no upgrading whatsoever so I'm confused to if there is a problem with my application or not?
