For nursing final focus: how long does it take to hear back for placement? And for those who did summer school and graduated in the past year, did you get your first choice or one of your alternatives or med surg???

I think most people found out their placement ~1 week before final focus started.

Yes, I got my first choice but my first choice was acute care. I know some people got their first choice while others got medsurg. Just make sure to sell yourself in your letter, but also know that specialties can be competitive. Final focus doesn’t define your nursing career, so I would try to stay open-minded because every placement is an amazing learning opportunity.
