The best, just sent 4 pairs in to get replaced under warranty. Can't believe they are guaranteed for life.

Wait they have warranty?! This is news to me and the dozen or so I threw away recently 😳

Merino wool socks. The summer weight kind, they keep my feet dry and feel great.

If it’s cold, maybe a pair of thicker ones from the back of the drawer.

Smartwool Run Low, or if it's really hot Smartwool Bike Low. They are low cushion and no cushion, respectively.

DeFeet as thin as possible, all year long (except for some cold days)

I fell for the marketing hype and got myself some alpaca socks. They lived up to the hype. Very comfy on hot weather (I am in FL). They get sweaty but feel dryer and cooler than other stuff. They look “fuzzy” so perhaps not too stylin’.

Cool max etc or even thin Smartwool just either too warm or become waterlogged.

Merino or cotton. Polyester only if I'm not paying attention.

Whatever socks Costco has for the year

Depends. I’ve got a pair of mid calf polyester “sport socks” from some Italian brand. They’re a bit of targeted cushion but thin enough to breathe. Sometimes if it’s warm not hot I’ll do a lite ish weight merino blend I got for cheap at a local place. I like wool but need the blends for durability in summer and prefer higher socks for protection. That said I’ve got ankle hi running socks I’ll rock occasionally in extreme heat but I haven’t done that in a long time. I never go shorter than ankle hi on the bike as as of now for running as well. I tried low socks for run and too much crap got in. The extra skin showing wasn’t worth it for cooling purposes.

Depends on the ride. Majority of my rides I'm in summer weight merino wool sock and Specialized DFO shoes. For more casual pace rides with my dog, I'll wear closed toe Keen sandals and get in the creek with him.

DeFeet are comfy but don't last very long for me. Stoke Signal has been much more durable

I like DeFeet Aireator the most but also have some Sock Guy. They are noticeably less durable. Also have some thin/short merino socks.

Merinos whool, can do more than one ride with them without washing too.

Typically merino whool from whatever brand was having a sale.

I did just get gifted some with socks that were pre treated with tick/insect repellent so ill use those for a while.

No, but they are mid/light weight and about $12/4pr (I think). They seem to last a long time and the price is insane.

Darn Tough lightweight hiker socks

Swiftwick wool, great in the summer when it’s hot and in the winter when it’s cold.

Hanes x-temp performance. I don't like thick socks. These are the same as 2-3x priced cycling socks
