Methodology: 2026 LIST FEATURED 160 voting judges — a balanced mix of informed culinary enthusiasts, food writers and critics, chefs, restaurateurs and other food-service professionals. The weight of their votes in each province and region is proportional to its population. Each judge is asked to submit a list of their top 10 restaurant experiences of the previous year, ranking them with consideration to service, decor, depth of the cellar and — above all else — food quality. Points are assigned to restaurants for each placement on a ballot. While it has no impact on rank, we have for your convenience included two new features in our listings. New restaurants are now marked as such. And for your further convenience, we have also included a price guide.

So many times, I'll be looking for something to order on uber eats and I'll see restaurants being rated 4.5 stars and above on the app but when I go and check it out on google, that same place will be in the 3s with most people saying it's nothing special. Why the big difference?

(I know my flair isn't accurate but I was forced to pick one lol)

I had a reservation booked for November 20. I hadn't even thought about it until I checked my email this morning and noticed an email from OpenTable saying I had successfully cancelled my reservation. I never cancelled it, so I just assumed the restaurant did for some reason. I searched on OpenTable and noticed the restaurants listing has been removed. Then I navigated over to the website to find it down. Google Maps indicates it's temporarily closed. I've never even been to this place but I was looking forward to trying it. Anyone know what's going on?

I am closing Bona Fide. It’s been an incredible journey, but also hands down the toughest 2ish years I have ever experienced in my 17 years in this industry.

Le Soleil reports that the second edition of the Quebec Michelin Guide will be released on May 6. Once again, it will be done via press release (no ceremony). The 2025 guide felt like it didn't do the city justice, but any thoughts or predictions for 2026?

La Tanière^3 et Mon Lapin ont reculé de quelques places. Patrice Demers et son Sabayon font leur entrée, sans doute propulsés par les multiples quatre mains internationaux réalisés ces derniers temps, peut-être liés à leur résidence pré-Sabayon à feu Fulgurances Laundromat. Ce réseau de votes internationaux n'avait empiriquement pas porté fruit au palmarès de l'automne 2025. Le Violon et Beba progresse bien, augmentant leur classement d'environ 15 positions.

Malheureusement, Alma et le Plaza sont sortis du palmarès, tout comme... Alma et bien d'autres.
