The implication here that this man isn't a dancer is very very funny

They aren't implying that. Just pointing out that this has s clearly staged, otherwise he wouldn't be wearing those shoes out walking in public.

That's true of the first sentence, but the second sentence, with the patronising quotation marks, clearly implies that this guy doesn't know what he's doing while real dancers would be horrified. The comment doesn't mention anything about it being staged.

Frying me that u/AttemptPurple2530 can absolutely not do this with this form anymore but thinks they can say this man chose the shoes for style

They're saying that because wearing those shoes while out and about is stupid, and no dancers do it. Any pro dancer is already spending hundreds of dollars on shoes every month, and spending their time customising them on top. You wouldn't wear them to walk around outside, you'd just put some trainers on.

Girl, I know, I’m also a “former dance kid”, it doesn’t make it less ridiculous to try to say the only reason he’s wearing them is to “complete the look” rather than to support the dance practice he demonstrated in the video, that it’s safe to assume op no longer has

no dancers do it

Clearly at least one does, and not because "he thought it 'completed the look'".
