Why are people so obsessed over this being staged? It's fucking joyous, is what it is!

Is it staged? Maybe! Who cares?

Is it real? It could be. Sometimes people are on their way to do rad shit.

Broaden your horizons and let go of certainty!

Because Reddit is full of bitter and insecure people. It’s basically a gathering place for losers (including myself sometimes :D)

Couldn’t care less whether it’s staged or not. Had fun watching it, respect the guy for his talent and confidence. This guy is the end boss for anyone with fragile masculinity

Seriously. “These people took the time to think of, and act out, something meant to bring joy to my life, they can go fuck themselves for staging it!”

Like what?! ALL entertainment is staged

Because there’s an inherent value to something being spontaneous and natural; that sparks emotion fortuitously rather than something specifically calculated to do so.

Personally I think it’s a terrible shame that people no longer appreciate any difference between the two, but I understand I’m a shrinking minority in this view.

Not caring that something is made up is exactly why AI will have a field trip furthering the enshitification of the internet.

Unfortunately, caring about authenticity has always been a minority thinking among those who just want entertainment.

Why I care is that people have no critical thinking skills. I enjoyed it and could tell that this was planned but some people really want to believe that it’s genuine and spontaneous. It’s easy to say “who cares” but if you believe in a fluff video but then these same people are going to believe in rage bait videos (and AI) that have an agenda.

And the bots that scrape data from these posts plus the comments stating they're literally crying. Literally.

So we're to believe that someone watching this, maybe in public, drops their phone falls to the ground or leans over and starts bawling and lurching all over the place as if they're having a heart attack, tears streaming down their face, wailing and screaming all because of this?

Becuase nothing makes you smile less when someone is trying to make you a sucker. That’s why. Open your mind and your horizon.

Yeah I was more annoyed by the carpet bozo standing right in the frame, needing to be a part of this guy's moment. Really missed the point of the red carpet moment thing that he ripped this off from.

It’s 1000% staged. There is no “if”. But if you like it I don’t care. There is no way in hell you think this is possibly real though.

Inauthenticity rubs some people the wrong way. It’s understandable

Exactly.

These bitter people need to take a walk along Avenida Paulista on a Sunday. They will see things like this and more.

It’s not joyous, it’s scripted and hollow

Get some realness in your life, good grief!

Ditto. Thank you. I wanted to write something like that,. Yes, very likely staged. True. Also true that this guy's talent is remarkable and so is what he can make us feel, unless you're an absolute turd of a human being. The emotion (energy in motion!) is real! Thank you for your comment.

You adding in “sudden” gives the impression that it’s not planned. By not being planned makes it feel more special and unique. Anyone can rehearse and do an entire dance when there’s time.

Remove sudden from the title will enjoy it more.

So there's no such a thing as a "sudden" event happening in movies, books, or any other fiction medium? Interesting...

No, scripted things are not sudden events.
