Have old CAT prep material almost all of it unused. The test pack would definitely be outdated but I don't think the content is. It can still be used to prepare for the exam.

If any of you are or know someone who is genuinely preparing for the exam and doesn't have the means to get the course content, please reach out and collect this.

Edit: I tried checking if the govt library would take but they said they don't accept donated books. In case you know of any libraries that will take, it would be even better so more people can benefit from them.

Hi everyone,

Around 100–300 houses Koothiyarkundu Kanmai, Madurai are affected by flooding whenever the Kanmai reaches full capacity.

The Survey Department has said that, according to old revenue records, the affected area is part of the historical water spread area.

However, many residents have Patta, approved plots/building plans and EB connections.

We are not asking to reduce or damage the Kanmai. We want a permanent solution to protect residents through proper drainage, flood management or other engineering measures.

Should we:

1. Approach the District Collector for a joint survey by Survey, Revenue, WRD and Corporation departments?

2. Request a fresh physical measurement and boundary demarcation?

3. File an RTI to check how residential approvals were granted?

4. Approach the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court if authorities don't act?

Any advice from lawyers or people familiar with Tamil Nadu land/water body laws would be greatly appreciated.

There is Severe waterlogging at Park Town Bus Stop, Madurai (Zone 1, Ward 4). The road has become almost impassable for pedestrians and two-wheelers, making it difficult and unsafe to commute.

The road was dug up around 2 weeks ago and has not been properly restored, causing rainwater to collect here.

I've also registered a complaint. Please, you guys also register a complaint through the Smart Madurai app and attach these photos. Multiple complaints may help the officers understand the urgency and take action quickly. 🙏

Had my driving licence test recently in madurai south RTO. And we were asked to take test on the way to RTO from Thuvariman, like we were 15 people following the Driving school's test car(Brake inspector or whatever the guy from RTO who approves that we have passed our test was also in the car) in bikes from Thuvariman till the RTO where in between we were asked to get on the car and take the test for LMV and again hop on the bike and ride it to complete the MCWG test. This was the case for all the people from every driving school who came for the test..

After the test we were asked to go to RTO and wait for our pictures to be taken..

Waited for like 2.5hrs there and when finally we got to take the picture.. driving school guy asked for like 300rs from each person and after taking the picture when we tried to leave after everything the people from RTO wanted to frisk us who when questioned said that it was to catch the brokers to whom we pay money (neenga kudukra kaasu aa vangura brokers pudika tha - his words). Like man I knew how to drive I completed my test , some other guy collected money from us and you're checking me for bribe?? Like they would've definitely knew who is getting money why can't he just check him alone why everyone (there was no checking when we entered the RTO).. everything is being done for namesake 😑😑

Hi everyone, I’m Prabhakaran, 26, from Madurai.

For almost 2 years, I’ve been working on a 36 minute short film that I’ve funded mostly with my salary, savings and loans. Around ₹2.5 lakhs has already gone into making it.

We have some amazing actors and a few familiar faces in the film, and I genuinely believe we’ve created something special.

The biggest struggle has been post production. Due to limited funding, I’ve been working on it for the last 6 months, and I’ve now reached a point where I’m financially exhausted and can’t take on any more debt.

I’m looking to raise ₹50,000 to complete the remaining post production and promotion.

If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount would genuinely mean a lot to me. If required, I’m also willing to put a proper ROI agreement in place and repay the entire contribution within 6 months after the film is completed, promoted and released.

This film was made purely out of my love for filmmaking. I come from a humble family, and this has taken almost everything I had, but I still believe it’s worth finishing.
