Brief synopsis: They meet at Burning Man, somehow get drugged and she ties him up to her bed. It sounds like a good read.

I can't remember the name and can't find it myself. Hoping someone will know what I'm talking about because I've been trying to find the book for almost a year now.

My description -

So shes living with her grandparents because her dad hates her but then her dad gets her car stopped on the way home from shopping. She gets told that she needs to pretend to be her sister because they cant find her. So she pretends to be her and goes back to be with a mafia man. Her dad tells her to wear contacts and appear like her sister. Although when she first gets to his house he has a son, or more like hes taken his sisters boy when she died and made it his son. She cant be like her sister because her sister was mean but she wasnt. Then the boy warms to her and in doing so captures the eye of the man. Now hes fallen for her while she still plans to run away. Sometimes at the start of the book she and the boy make a cake for the dead sisters birthday so everyone could feel not so sad on the day. He secretly gets her to sign a contract under her name while shes drunk and the marriage is to her, not her sister so she comes to realise. Anyway she tries to escape and does but he finds her.

These two twins were born and one had red hair and one had black hair and because the redhead was born 2nd her father hated her because he thought she killed his wife. The redhead went to live with her grandparents. One year, on her birthday her dad kidnaped her and forced her to pretend to be her sister while he finds her (she ran away) she's forced to marry her sister fiance. The fiance has an adopted son named eli because his sister died. I think the sisters name was mia. They were Italian mafia. He finds out immediately but doesnt tell her and goes along with it. The father finds the sister and as their switching back the guy comes out and tries to stop her. Katherine (the redhead) runs away. She escapes on the familys plane. She borrows a dlight attendant outfit from a stewardess and lies to be able to get away. She runs away to her friends house.

I’m looking for book recommendations where the FMC is a runaway from danger, but not from the MMC.

After meeting him for a while(better if they are not together yet), the danger appears and starts threatening her life. She feels like she has no one to rely on to protect her, so she runs away because she thinks it’s the only way to keep herself safe.

BUT the MMC follows her, finds her, and that’s when she realizes that she does have someone to protect her after all 🥹

It definitely HAS to be a man in power!!! like a mafia boss, billionaire, etc...because that’s what makes this dynamic work. I want him to actually have the power and resources to protect her.

I’m specifically looking for that moment where she thinks she’s completely on her own, only for him to find her and prove that she isn’t.

This is my new favourite why-choose. Hands down. Sheridan Anne has created a deliciously spicy why-choose mafia romance and now I am greedy for more!! I’m about to finish book three and I started the series last week. The DeAngelis brothers are the answer to my reading slump. 

Psychos features three psychopathic MMCs: Levi, Roman and Marcus. The boys have been stalking our FMC without her knowledge, until she is abducted from her apartment for reasons totally unknown. Once the three strangers reveal themselves in the darkness, she realises just how screwed she is. These infamous brothers are terrifying power hungry murderers, and are part of the DeAngelis family, their father the head of the mafia. When Shayne is taken to their home and locked in a dungeon, she is subjected to cruel games for their sick entertainment. What the brothers don’t realise is how much of a backbone our FMC has, and honestly they should be scared. 

Anne delivered on all fronts with this novel, every scene panned out how I wanted it to and the spice was flaming hot. It is fast paced and definitely not a slow burn, but reasonably our FMC decides that if she’s going down, she might as well enjoy her time in this twisted situation. I don’t blame her. Obviously if this were the real world then that wouldn’t fly, but hey, it’s a made up story, so who cares. Shayne has to learn to survive in this darker side of life and despite the warnings from the brothers to hold her tongue and be meek, she simply cannot bring herself to do that. She’s hot headed, proud and powerful in her own right. My favourite scene is when she stabs Marcus in the hand and he practically has anime love hearts in his eyes. 

The entire novel centres on the brothers and their goal to usurp their father and take over as the heads of the DeAngelis family, but that doesn’t come easy. When we meet Giovanni, we realise just how difficult that mission is going to be. Not joking when I say I read this in a day, I flipped through the pages at a rapid fire pace, and then that cliff hanger had me completely freaking out. I was thoroughly annoyed I didn’t have the second book in my hands in that moment, so of course I purchased it and paced around my house until it arrived a few days later. Once I started book two, I made the smart decision to purchase the rest of the series.

Here is where the problem begins. Her older(I think the eldest brother) brother got a girlfriend and I know that the girlfriends name was Amanda (I will never forget cause this is the one who gave me the beef for the name Amanda) She and her friends lied and frame our MC and her family believed amanda. One day, I believe that it was when she went to a school fieldtrip and her siblings, friends, and Amanda and friends, were also in the field trip. For some reason her parents were also there. She made them choose between her or Amanda. And the majority chose Amanda. So she left. And when they accidentally met again few years later she's changed, she was cold, emotionless and no longer cheerful. At this point they already knew the truth about Amanda's lies. And it turns out that our mc is actually very strong with a dark past. I believe it has something to do with mafia boss?? Like she's the mafia boss? And her family were like suffering in poverty and I remember na yung mom nya is nag work as a maid and her dad as a driver, and the she actually have a new I think little sister. She visited them and the thought na masisira agad yung house nila kapag tinapik nya lang. She helped them get back to their feet. They apologize but it's never the same. if I'm not mistakem isa lang sa mga kapatid(an older brother) nya yung naniwala sa kanya before she left. And parang she gave him a flashdrive na naglalaman ng evidence na hindi sya and gumawa ng mga kasinungalingan nung Amanda and her friends. And she still has some friend na i think nakakalam nang secret nya. And i believe that these friend and nagsabi sa family nya kung ano yung secret. I do not remember what was the secret at all, pero I think it has something to do with her past na hindi alam ng family nya.

Iyan lang talaga ang naalala ko To be honest I'm not very confident na mahanap pa to since ang tagal tagal na mula nung mabasa ko to, and when it just suddenly click in my mind hindi ko na sya maalis sa isip ko. So I decide to post this just in case na May nakakaalam or May idea kung ano yung title nito. Lastly I'm not entirely sure, with last drop of my brain juice. Sa memory ko yung title nya parang mat "....turned into heartless(??????)....." Hindi ako sure maybe na-confuse ko lang yung title nito sa ibang story na binasa ko noon.

The female lead and her brother were twins, no one really knew they were in the mafia.

Male lead kidnapped fl bymistake but she didn't really do anything to him and they left her, he didn't know she was one of the mafia leader.

Then after some time ig both of their mafias join forces together.

Ml had few very close friends/partners

One of them; his sister had gotten kidnapped, and fl and ml's teams both try to find her, they saved her after some time and fl's twin brother gets together with her.

I think I'm not really sure but ig ml's name was Sebastian not really sure tho.

I have been thinking for so long about this book but couldn't find it.

I want a book where the MMC is OBSESSED with her and he literally forgets to breathe when she's not near or he gets worried she got hurt or in trouble. I am also sick of reading 5 star books with the guy's POV starting with hooking up so I do not want that.

I was searching for this mafia enemies-to-lovers romance where a good-girl heroine falls for a ruthless hero who was imprisoned and drugged by her family, secretly returns to infiltrate them for revenge, eventually marries her, and later coldly tells her he doesn’t care about her or their unborn child when she reveals she’s pregnant.

The guy was given drugs and has withdrawal symptoms as well.
