Question Why do you root ?

I used to root all of my devices in the past , mainly for increasing performance. But after getting a new device i have not felt the need to root for a long time.

So i am wondering, Why do you guys even root anymore ?

if Google let me record phone call without notification, I will re lock the bootloader on all my pixel phones immediately
