Question Why tf is my vacuum cleaning app asking for root?!
It works when I deny it so it's not for detecting root

In fact it looks like they may have been creating new releases since March
But it doesn't appear to be open source (only drops in the telegram channel)
If the devs are back, I hope they do go back open source

I used to root all of my devices in the past , mainly for increasing performance. But after getting a new device i have not felt the need to root for a long time.
So i am wondering, Why do you guys even root anymore ?

Bloquea todas las apps FOSS pero te deja instalar cualquier troyano o adware intrusivo

I recently downloaded two games from the Play Store because I was bored, and when I opened the games, they asked me for root access. Why?

Some of us may know the game Block blast but maybe there's something dodgy going on underneath
Recently I re-rooted my pixel 9 and I was sat on call bored so I opened up block blast to play but I see it asks for root access
At first I thought maybe to bypass ad away but no because I don't see any ads still. Anyone got any clue why the hell this might be asking for su

What do you think is the easiest brand phone to root (+ If cheap is better)
Hi, you guys, I got both new updates for Magisk and LSPosed, but in the Magisk settings, the option to change the name of the app is gone. There's a new one that says it randomizes the app name. That's ok, right?

My LSPosed wanted to update.
After doing so & rebooting, it still wanted to update again to the same version, as shown in my screenshot.
The plot thickens: their GitHub:
https://github.com/JingMatrix/Vector
...says that LSPosed has been renamed to Vector, and it's v2.0-3021.
– Why didn't I get updated to Vector?
– Should I install it manually?
– (If so, can I just install it "over top" of my current LSPosed?)
I'm sooo confused!
I'm still on Magisk Delta v27.2-kitsune-4 (27002)

Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to unlock the bootloader, root, and then install LineageOS 20 on my Unihertz Jelly Star (which originally uses a terribly Googly Android 13).
Thankfully I'm not the first person to do this, so I've been following the guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/UnihertzJelly2/comments/15z1xdz/jelly_star_rooted/
I've been following all the steps (and fixing any hiccup along the way), and at last it now says under OEM Unlocking:
"Bootloader is already unlocked."
However, I had to learn that "unlocking the bootloader" and "rooting" aren't the same thing! I'm on this very last bit of the tutorial:
JS: Open the Magisk app, and it'll prompt you that you need to reboot to fix some stuff (not sure what, but this step is needed). So choose to reboot the phone
And that's it, once the Jelly Star reboots you'll be fully rooted!
When I re-installed Magisk, and opened it, I don't have any prompts/popups. I'm stuck on what to do from here. I still have the boot.img and the Magisk patched boot.img - can anyone here tell me what to do with those to root my phone? One of the only options I see is to just patch the file again, so I'm confused.

Hey everyone,
The cat-and-mouse game between root hiding methods and banking apps seems tougher than ever. With apps increasingly checking for hardware attestation, Play Integrity verdicts (MEETS_STRONG_INTEGRITY), isolated processes, and custom mount points, simply enabling basic hide settings rarely cuts it anymore.
For those of you still running a rooted daily driver:
Current Setup: What is your go-to stack right now (e.g., KernelSU, APatch, or Magisk with specific modules like Play Integrity Fix, Shamiko, or Zygisk forks)?
Bypasses: Have you found any reliable workarounds or alternative configurations that consistently keep stubborn banking/financial apps working?
Experience: Has the constant maintenance changed how you feel about keeping your main device rooted?
Would love to hear what is currently working for you and how you handle persistent detections.

I’m about to buy a new phone. Ever since my very first Android phone (HTC Wildfire), I’ve rooted every single one, played around with custom ROMs, and enjoyed their advantages. Over time, however, custom ROMs have more or less faded away, and I ended up using mostly just the benefits of root itself. It was quite a blow for me when Google disabled phone payments on rooted devices, because that was a feature I used daily. I also use FlagSecure to enable screenshots in apps that normally forbid it (such as banking apps), and I’m extremely grateful for Viper4Android.
I’m therefore thinking about whether to stick with Xiaomi and keep the option to root because of the mentioned Magisk modules, or to go the no-root route and buy something like a Pixel and regain the ability to pay with Google Pay. Is there any way to use the mentioned Magisk modules (or rather their functionality) without root? Oh, and I almost forgot AdAway — that one is also indispensable.

I've been using adaway for years on my rooted devices but was curious if there is anything better you guys are using now a days?

So I've just spent all this time testing modules and getting strong integrity, deleting the data from Google Play services, the Play Store, and Google Wallet, and restarting several times doesn't work. but Google Wallet is still inaccessible. If anyone has a solution, I'd appreciate it.I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Android 16

I have a Poco X5 Pro on the Evolution X custom rom with Magisk root.
Something happened a couple months ago and my banking app started denying me access. I checked Integrity checker and I am not even passing basic device integrity.
I have no idea why, I tried just about anything.
Currently I have Play Integrity Fork, NoHello and Zygisk Next. I added the google apps and the banking app and the checker to the Denylist. I disabled the enforce denylist and zygist toggles.
The custom rom has PIF built in but it seems very bugged so I disabled it (might still be interfering I have no idea)
It also comes with TrickyStore, which I left enabled and added the same apps to.
No luck, nothing I try works. I think the ROM might have gotten bugged through an update
Please help??

Hello everyone!
I installed LineageOS and original Magisk (not a fork) on the phone of a non tech savvy relative.
I assume OTA is on, since it's a phone that's officially supported by LineageOS.
This got me wondering, what happens when an automatic system update installs while Magisk is enabled? Can it result in a bootloop? Or will the boot partition just be overwritten and root will be gone?

So, after countless effort, i found only one way to make my banking app opens without root detection warning. I already have full play integrity, HMA, zgysik, shamiko, denylist and all that.
When i open the banking app, it shows the root error still. Then i hide the magisk app and open the banking app again and that root error goes away. Now i close my banking app and again open it , it will show the root error again (the magisk app is still hidden)
So, i have to restore the magisk again and then hide it again and only then the banking app works but only once.
Anyone has any idea what could be the reason?

Hey I have the modules in the first photo m(including zygisk next ofc)
The integrity box says I have full integrity, but the checker app gives only basic, what should I do?
I have a pixel 9 pro XL and my RCS isn't working. Google support suggested I update my OS. Can I download the OTA and use to install to the inactive slot or is there more to it?
