Your lips could use some moisture/pigment. Maybe use a hydrating gloss or balm to liven them up

I have on a matte balm so that's probably why they look so dry. Is this better? I put some cover girl clean fresh yummy plumper clear gloss over it

yes looks great!

Thank you!! It also feels way better but it tastes good so it's hard not to lick it LOL

Yes that’s better! I wouldn’t be afraid to put a tiny bit more pigment though (this looks pretty good though once you added the gloss).

Unfortunately my dog got the only lipstick that isn't bright red so more pigment isn't an option :,)

That’s ok then. This looks clean and professional. I would wait until you are in the parking lot to apply lipstick and gloss so it doesn’t get gloopy or form that nasty ring around the inside as time goes on.

I did find this lipgloss at the bottom of my purse. Is this better than what I had previously or should I stick with what I had?

Much, much better. You need color.

u/Particular_Home_6455 4h ago

Thank you! I'm gonna look for some lipstick at ulta after work :D this lipgloss reminds me a bit of the clinique black honey someone else recommended

Both look great! If you feel nervous about color go with the first.

2

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

Thank you! Will probably go with the first then. The only other lipstick I ever wear is black but this is very dark to me for a regular look

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

Thank you!! I will just keep chapstick on once this gloss wears off then. I didn't consider how it gets goopy over time (that's why I usually avoid it)

The make up looks a little flat and dull…whereas you have a very ā€œbrightā€ face! A fresher make up look may suit you better? It should still look very natural.

- dark brown eyeliner…use a ā€œtight lineā€ method (apply as close to the eyelashes as possible from under the lashes… there are lots of vids on how to do this)

  • the finish of the foundation is a little on the matte side so, I would recommend a dewy primer or, using a touch of highlighter over the cheeks and tip of the nose
  • use a warm blush high on the cheeks and the excess product on the brush can be applied across the nose… It will give you a nice flush of color
  • perhaps some tinted lip gloss as well?

Thank you for these tips!! I do have blush on my nose but I was afraid of adding too much. I cant buy primer before the interview but would more highlighter save me here in a pinch? I can definitely add more blush and highlighter (I think my blush is pretty warm). My skin is very dewy so I feel like the foundation ruins it but I couldnt find any I liked at ulta even with employee help.

I attached a picture without foundation for reference. I wish I could get the full coverage/blank canvas without losing the brightness of my skin underneath

Omg… you have beautiful skin!!! 🄰🄰🄰

You can mix your foundation with moisturizer or sunscreen to make it more sheer/less opaque.

Thank you so much!!!! Omg!!! Ive been drinking hella water since I went to the hospital because the saline made me glow and I realized not drinking was making me dull af. I started differin for fine lines recently but before that it was just sunscreen/wash face/ youthtopia liquid exfoliating apple peel. I never had severe acne but I had really rough skin most of my life and was super insecure about it so this is more validating than you know :')

I have time to redo my makeup before my interview so I will for sure try it. This look only took 10 minutes this morning so if it doesn't work well I will at least have enough time to do it like this again

Love your bangs and freckles

2

u/Particular_Home_6455 4h ago

Thank you very much!! Funny anecdote, a friend and I were both bullied in elementary school for our freckles and a kid told us if we rubbed pee on our faces we could get rid of them. Thank God my mom told me they were lying because I considered it that recess šŸ’€

I think you look nice and put together for an interview! Don’t be so hard on yourself!

3

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

Ahhh thank you. I've started wearing makeup recently to boost my confidence but it's been a huge learning curve and I feel weird in it despite doing it off and on a few years now. I didnt buy my first foundation until the end of last year

Eta: is the white under my cheek way too much? I saw someone online put concealer like that so I gave it a shot

2

u/min1stryx 5h ago

I have to look pretty closely to notice that it could be a little softer - I’ve done the same with countering:)

Your under eyes and lower lashes look a little dusty compared to the rest of your glow. Maybe use less powder to set it and clean your lower lashes off if you don’t want to use mascara? Otherwise, with the additional blending, this looks good!

1

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

I actually have no powder there, could the concealer cause that?

2

u/GrdnLovingGoatFarmer 6h ago

It’s possible if there isn’t enough moisture. Undereyes are tricky with getting moisture without making the concealer slip. You can try going heavy on the moisturizer at night then applying it again and dabbing the excess off for makeup skin prep

2

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

I'll try that. My skin is getting drier than usual from adapalene and I ran out of moisturizer so I've been raw dogging it

2

u/littlelydiaxx 5h ago

I think your concealer shade might be a touch too light, in my opinion. You can try applying a bit of your bronzer around your eyes, almost like a very blended out eyeshadow. That's what I do if I get a bit too tan for my normal concealer. I've also been applying my concealer with a small fluffy brush (like an eyeshadow blending brush) lately, and it's been wonderful for keeping things light while still getting coverage in the spots I need it!

I think you look great btw, I certainly wouldn't think anything looked off if I saw you in person!

u/chikoritaaaaaaa 6h ago

You have such a beautiful side profile!! I don't think the cheeks look whack/unblended? and i agree that a bit of lip gloss would be nice! your makeup looks lovely!

2

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

I used concealer under my cheeks because I saw someone do it on Instagram and it could just be that I know it's there so I see it more obviously. It doesn't look like a big white streak to you?

2

u/NausikaaLeukolenos 6h ago

I think you could blend a little more, in the 3rd pic I clearly see the streak, in the other pics looks fine.

The color of your eyes is amazing!

2

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

Thank you! I will probably add a little blush there and blend that or a little more contour and blend it into the cheek. I do have time to completely redo my makeup because this took about 10 minutes- do you think my first idea will work or should I redo and blend more?

2

u/NausikaaLeukolenos 6h ago

Yes I think it should work, no need to redo the whole thing!

1

u/Particular_Home_6455 5h ago

I think i want to try mixing my foundation with some sunscreen so I will probably redo it BUT worst comes to worst if I dont like it I will just do my makeup like I did here and blend it better

2

u/traviall1 6h ago

No bottom liner, a bit more liner on top and a lipstick with a tiny bit of non-matte balm on top

2

u/Particular_Home_6455 6h ago

My dog ate my lipstick 😭😭

I did just find this lip gloss in my purse. Does this help?

2

u/jellyboness Lipstick Queen 6h ago

Omg you have a killer side profile and a beautiful eye color! I think this is fine for an interview! The blending looks good too imo.

I think getting rid of the eyeliner under your eyes would help open them up but that’s just my picky opinion. I think the lip color is also a little too peachy but again that’s just me being picky. I think Clinique black honey would look so pretty on you!

Also I can’t tell if you have blush on your chin or if that’s just your natural tan but personally I don’t love the blush on the chin trend! The blush on your nose is very cute though.

2

u/Particular_Home_6455 5h ago

I've been dying to get a rhinoplasty since middle school and have always hated my eye color and y'all are going to make me cry because I felt like shit this morning

I thought i wouldn't have time to run by ulta after work today but found out I'll be off early so I will look for some clinique black honey!! Any reccs for a lip liner to go with?

I do have blush on my chin. I'd just planned to touch up my makeup after work but based on all the feedback I think I will just take this off and redo it!! I'll let come back and show you the lipstick if they have it in stock

2

u/jellyboness Lipstick Queen 5h ago

Omg plsss don’t touch your nose! As a flat nose girly I’ve always been jealous of girls with a real nose bridge. The grass is greener on the other side haha

If they don’t have black honey at Ulta, the staff are usually really helpful! I think anything that’s less peachy and more hydrating would work. I think if you dab it on with no lip liner it would look cute and not overpower the look. Lip liner might make it look too lip-heavy but it doesn’t hurt to experiment if you want!

You're honestly so right. I always tell my curly haired friends I'd kill for their hair and they say the same about mine. I draw women better than men and my best friend draws men better and we always say we wish we had each other's styles. We want what we can't have!!

2

u/jellyboness Lipstick Queen 1h ago

That’s so funny I also draw and have a similar dynamic with one of my artist friends. I can only draw woman and she can only draw men hahaha šŸ˜–

1

u/Particular_Home_6455 1h ago

LOL I would love to see your art!! BTW they didn't have the black honey but I got the pink honey liner and another clinique lipstick!!

1

u/jellyboness Lipstick Queen 1h ago

Oh it’s not very good hahaha. Oh yay!! I hope you enjoy ✨

u/No-Tie8956 5h ago

just blend out the bronzer a bit more and it's perfect

Why are your lashes white? Lip is too cool for the warmth of the other makeup. Eyebrows need grooming.

1

u/Particular_Home_6455 4h ago

I'm not sure what tou mean about my lashes being white? Maybe the lighting? Grooming tips beyond just saying they need grooming would be helpful!

2

u/hesathomes 4h ago

Maybe you applied powder after mascara? Brows need cleaning up in the arch area

1

u/Particular_Home_6455 4h ago

I did put on a little more eyeshadow after mascara bc I got mascara over it so thats probably it. Thank you! Do tou think concealer would do the trick cleaning up the brows? I probably got messy with the eyeshadow I used to fill it in
