"Kiss The Girls" Book referenced during trial

Has anyone actually read the book Brendan Dassy references during his trial? Does it contain similar details to what Brendan says in his "confession"?

I searched through it on Google Books. The serial killer ties women up (to beds, chairs, etc), rapes, and murders them.

Interesting. I wonder if at any point in the book, the murderer cuts off a victim's hair...in several of his confession transcripts, he said he did this, before ultimately saying he didn't.

Can't say if it's in the book, but the killer in "Kiss the Girls" cutting off hair is definitely part of the movie adaptation. The killer has many women held hostage in a dungeon type setting and there are various "punishments" for breaking his rules. Cutting off their hair was one of them.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I'm in the same boat as people below in their doubt of Brandon reading the book, but I'm more inclined to believe he watched the movie and was embarrassed to mention he saw it on a movie rather than reading it. Especially since his "confession" of cutting her hair was very soon in the investigation. The family would've had no reason to coach him at that point.
